that’s what it will be called officially after this last revolting cocks release, REVCO, “Revolting Cocks” name is retired. but Al’s not retiring that “group” anymore because he likes what Sin and Josh bradford have done with it. So he’s letting those two take it over and looks like there will be more releases of “revco” after this next one (inside sources tell me the cd is already done) they were going to call it “got Cock” but they have since renamed it again and i can’t remember what that title was. On the sampler that came with the vip bag there are to new Revolting Cocks songs one sounds very KMFDM the other sounds kinda new wavy there not bad, again, not the best stuff Cocks have done but i would give these 2 new songs +++ over the cocked and loaded releases just cause it seems to go back to electronic phase. the songs are called Hookerbot 3000 (KMFDM-ish) and Cousins Revolting(new wavy)

That’s weird.
So Josh and Clayton will now have Stayte, A Simple Shelter, and RevCo - all bands that basically consist of Josh and Clayton? I love their stuff, but that just seems silly.
After talking to Josh it sounds like simple shelter is just josh…but yeah those two are involved in quite a bit.

Why doesn’t Al just give Ministry to someone cool then?

It’s not illegal in Canada. =)

Might not be such a bad idea. But with revco, he actually started with other people. Big Sexy Land was mainly Luc and Richard 23, with Al in the background wasn’t it? Al’s involvement with revco has always been minimal, especially according to chris’ book, if I interpreted right. Stainless Steel Providers seems like it was mainly Chris and Paul. At The Top being Luc and Chris, etc. etc. Al contributed of course, but it seemed like one of those things where he took a backseat. And of course when he decides to stand up on Cocked and Loaded, we know how that ended up…so less Al in the cocks is probably a good thing.
Great news. Are the inside sources to remain anonymous?
The Vast Majority of this info (ok all of it) came from Josh Bradford. We talked to him for about 45 minutes after the concert He was pretty psyched to see the Mrs. and myself. He got really excited when He recognized us. Seemed like he was the fanboy and was really flattering. He also said “who knows when the footage (DVD) from last tour will come out” he has edited (I think) All of it and some clips are put up on youtube but he couldn’t beleive how BAD the audio came out in it (for you tube). so that pretty much is it.

…In all fairness, Al played a major part in the coks I was involved with, but it was far more of an equal collaboration, especially between Al, Paul & Bill, whoever felt like contributing something would do so, that’s what made it so brilliant in the very early days…
In a traditional since, Ministry should have died a long time ago and Al should have picked a new name for the band.
Bingo.
Too bad more bands don’t follow this “rule”.

I think Clayton worked on all the Simple Shelter stuff to some extent. His name is in the credits.
The new Simple Shelter is great, btw. Much better than the first one where Josh had a hard time singing in key.

Sounds about right.

Maybe he’s handing it off to Burton Bell.
I guess a band called “Jourgenson” would sounds kind of stupid, though. Sounds like hand lotion.
Ba-ZING!!! [laugh]
