I’ve only seen King Diamond once. (Truthfully, I really only like the Them album.)
As goofy as his whole aesthetic is, and the thematic content of his music, dude puts on a hell of a show. He sells that shit. We had a blast.

All shows were really good.
88 show, the sound wasn’t the best but it was probably the best show. The place went insane!
89 sound was way better at this venue…a 10 show for sure.
95 shitty venue but it was good…not much of a stage show but I did get to see Fate.
03 awesome show…I was 5 feet from King the whole show…probably 200 people or a few more. No stage set.
14 decided to sit for this one…great sound, great set…played 1hr 30min.

It’s actually an amalgamation or collage of sorts, incorporating the imagery from all of the previous KD albums. On their own, those album designs are pretty darn cool. But this mish-mash kaleidoscope of goth faggitry with the Victorian blue and the borders and everything . . . . yeah, it just screams “Hot Topic”.
Wow,I gave it such a quick one over that I didn’t even realize it was all images from prior KD records…but yeah,it still sucks balls…hehe…
I always preferred Mercyful Fate stuff to KD but still dig KD…
Actually maybe some classic King Diamond is what I need to cheer myself up.
