Old crips got pooned.

Remember when we were in Vegas that night Pins and we saw some other dude wearing a Twisted Sister shirt…you made the fatal mistake of NOT wearing your Twisted Sister shirt that evening so missed out on some serious deep split second connection with a brother! haha

Yeah, that was classic.
Aside from a few I’ve seen at TS concerts and past week’s Dee Snider gig, that dude was the ONLY person other than me that I’ve ever seen in a Twisted Sister shirt.

So you broke crippy boys wheel chair joystick with him sitting in it? You tried to lift up that chair with him sitting in it? Damn dude you got charisma you could have rallied the crowd and everybody pitchd in and surfed that thing to the back.

It was pretty spur of the moment stuff. I didn’t exactly plan it all out the night before.

you may have been in the right, but once again, i’m surprised you didn’t get your ass handed to you! if a bunch of random people see some guy picking on a guy in a wheelchair (without knowing what was going on) they’d surely attack you!

lol, he didn’t say anything as you smashed his wheelchair? that might have gone too far :P. those things are expensive! i’m surprised he didn’t try to charge you.

So, restraining a drunken jackass from hurting women and children is “picking on” someone? Okey doke.

And no, random people, as a rule, do not just jump into other people’s battles. Even if the circumstances were different. In general, people prefer to avoid violence.

I wasn’t intending to wreck his chair. That just sort of happened by default. I don’t think I went too far. The guy was a drunken, violent a-hole who had already punched one girl in the face and was getting dangerously close to hurting other innocents as well.

I don’t think I went too far at all. He was yelling a bunch of crap during the incident, but I don’t recall anything specific after I broke his rig. And I wouldn’t care if he’d have tried to charge me for it. I’d love to see him push the matter. There were plenty of witnesses who saw him attack the group and saw the episode transpire.

Him “charging me” for breaking his wheelchair makes about as much sense as suing a pedestrian you just crashed into at a crosswalk for bleeding on your Camaro.

but once again, i’m surprised you didn’t get your ass handed to you! if a bunch of random people see some guy picking on a guy in a wheelchair (without knowing what was going on) they’d surely attack you!

I don’t think you saw the offsets. I agree with lord on this one… and plan it out the night before!!! ppppfffftttt you’re a smart quick on your feet cat. this needed no planning.

No, I saw the parenthetical. I just think people are a lot smarter than to just immediately assume that because some drunken douchebag is in a wheelchair that he’s a victim. And even so, most people, as I’ve noted, do not generally volunteer themselves as fist fodder in such situations. I’m well aware of the risks I assume when I engage in vigilante justice, by the way. I just can’t sit idly by and let some madman wreak havoc on others.

If I saw some guy standing holding a wheelchair-bound man’s arms (not knowing what the back story was) and the guy in the wheelchair was drunkenly shouting and flopping around, I wouldn’t blindly attack the guy, and I don’t think most people would. They would want to know a bit more before jumping in and putting themselves at danger.

I see fights at shows often. If I don’t know how it started, who did what, etc., I just step aside and let 'em work it out amongst themselves.

and plan it out the night before?!?! ppppfffftttt you’re a smart quick on your feet cat. this needed no planning.

Planning or not, it’s a horrible idea that would not work. This was a casual crowd and was not tightly packed anyway. There is no way the people could keep that 300 pound robotic mess held above even if they were willing to try (which I assure you they would NOT).

Still, it is a beautiful image to imagine.

Alright loose ends tied up…
Awesome sight to behold would def be stephen hawking crowd surfing!!
still sounds like you had a blast. We gotta go to another show I have a blast concerting with you !

[Slow Monotone Robot Voice] “Cow-a-bung-a, Dude!”

Later that night I stumbled on a Flaming Lips concert on the TV. The singer did this pretty cool thing, actually, where he got in one of those big inflatable clear bubble balls (like the human hamster balls) and then walked forward off the stage and onto the crowd of hands that kept the giant orb suspended above them with him in it.

It was kind of a new take on the classic “Jesus-walk” that Iggy Pop performed 40 years back.

Yeah, fo sho, Bro!
I’ll be on travel for the next two weeks, otherwise I’d be hitting up the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet this Saturday for DAMAGE INC., my favorite Metallica tribute band. They’re badass!

There’s not much that comes around these days that I give a crap about, but we’ll find something soon, I’m sure.

Wayne Coyne from the Lips has been doing that inflatable ball bit for a long time now…suprised this is the first time you have seen it…regardless of what you may think of their music their shows are a blast…just a silly good time…

I don’t know. I love ridiculous showmanship, and I understand that Flaming Lips go all out on giving the ticket-holder a full SHOW experience. There’s just always been something about that band (not only the music) that just irritates me to the core. Maybe I’ll see the half-full side of the glass some day.

It seemed they were playing the whole “Dark Side of The Moon” Pink Floyd album at this show. I’m not a huge Floyd fan, but I like that album as much as any classic rock fan with casual interest and I must say . . . . . they sounded incredible. There wasn’t much improvising or deviating from the original Floyd music which surprised me, as I thought they would have gone out of their way to weird out on it and put their personal stamp on everything.

I only observed 2 or 3 songs, but it sounded every bit as good as I imagine Pink Floyd would for the same songs.

I can understand that position…I think they have always been a polorizing band…I don’t like everything they do but the stuff I do like I like very very much…my ex was a huge fan and we flew to St Louis once to see a show they were putting on out there…the band happened to be staying at the same hotel we were in and we met them and they couldn’t have been nicer and more down to earth…

There is an amazing dvd about the band called the Fearless Freaks which is fantastic…

HAHA!!! The pic is titled “Wheely”. Cheers!

Nothing says ROCK’N’ROLL more than a room like that!!

The Gunnar Thread personified!

Nice!!! That’s what my room is going to look like at the end of this week!

haha…is that a Tim Horton’s or Burger King bad in the center? looks like the guy got a little frustrated and out of his Mickey D’s comfort zone
