The 10 Worst Albums Of All Time

Extremities… one of the worst LP’s ever made? Don’t talk ballicks. One of the best things they’ve ever done.

In no particular order:

Grave New World - Discharge

One of the most legendary punk bands go hair metal. Not good.

86 - Neu

80’s synths over motorik beats. Sickening.

Tour De France Soundtracks - Kraftwerk

An Underworld tribute album.

Nocturama - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Booooooooooooorrrring.

Age of Quarrel - Cro Mags

Bro dude hardcore that spawned two generations worth of shit bands.

Peak Hour - Psychic TV

Dated, and shit.

Red Mecca - Cabaret Voltaire

I don’t get why this is praised instead of The Voice of America.

Illvid Dumiei Something - Morbid Angel

“TOO EXTREME.” Yeah, extremely shit.

Waiting For the Sirens Call - New Order

Middle aged.

The Power and the Glory - Cockney Rejects

See Discharge. But take out “hair metal” and put in “UFO” instead.

Oh, and that last Sheep On Drugs record wasn’t very good either.

Oh, and that last Sheep On Drugs record wasn’t very good either.

They were never any good.

Another way to put this might be: biggest disappointments, crappy albums from bands you like or used to like anyways

Yes I think the biggest problem in the thread is that the title is totally misleading…

Tomahawk - Anonymous
Know I have said this before, it was a great idea playing off the name of the band and doing Native American songs, but it falls way flat for me. After two concise, coherent, dare I say classic records, all the heynananaheyyyahhnananaheyyahahanaho was kind of a let down. I’m not altogether opposed to gibberish coming out of Mike’s mouth, flying spaghetti monster knows I’ve bought enough of that, but that’s not what I want from THAT project. Haven’t given the latest one a serious listen yet, but the bits that have come up on random haven’t really grabbed me either.

Funny, I enjoyed that album quite a bit though it does have some dull moments. Not too familiar with other Tomahawk though…

I PM’d you by the way regarding Nursing Home remixing.

Ozzy Osbourne - Black Rain
Ozzy Osbourne - Down To Earth

Metallica - Lulu
Metallica - S&M
Metallica - St Anger
Metallica - Load
Metallica - Reload

Godflesh - Hyms
Godflesh - Us & Them

The Cure - The Cure
The Cure - 4:13 Dream

Faith No More - The Real Thing

Deicide - Insineratehymn
Deicide - In Torment In Hell

Tomahawk - Anonymous

Ministry - Relapse
Ministry - The Last Sucker
Ministry - Rio Grande Blood
Ministry - Cover Up

Einsturzende Neubauten - Ende Neu

Celtic Frost - Cold Lake

Pitchshifter - www.pitchshifter.com

A Perfect Circle - Emotive

Bathory - Requiem
Bathory - Octagon

Faith No More - The Real Thing

One of these things is not like the others…

Totally agree with others who state that they can’t listen to KMFDM anymore. I really can’t listen to anything related to that sort of shit anymore. Probably the only music I “grew out of”. I cringe when I listen to it now.

Mechanical Animals his best, ACSS second, Holywood third and Portrait honorable listen (not counting smells like children in this list cause there’s only like 4 songs on that cd )

everything else is < Portrait so it doesn’t mater.

Holy fuck, we almost completely agree. I think I’m going to pass out.

I can still listen to some KMFDM, but I’ve always thought they were hit or miss anyways. Very much of a miss nowadays.

Curious if those that have listened to Weird Revolution heard After The Astronaut and what the opinions are on that versus Weird Revolution?

It was supposed to be the next album, believe it was scrapped due to a contract dispute with Capital Records. They re-recorded all the tracks, added some more, and that became Weird Revolution.

No doubt, Weird Revolution is the worse Butthole Surfers album. After The Astronaut though, it is missing Shame of Life, Dracula from Houston, and Shit Like That and has some additional tracks not on the other album. After The Astronaut could be considered the worse Butthole Surfers album as well had Weird Revolution never been created but I think After The Astronaut is a better effort and would’ve sit with fans better.

Only song I can stomach of theirs anymore is “WWIII”. And I guess that’s only because it was in Saints Row the Third and was fun listening to while destroying shit.

Last album I heard was WWIII how many generic pieces of shit have they released since then?

Well i think they had 2 decent albums after WWIII and 3 that were shit, it pains me to listen to them. I met Sascha at a KMFDM show and he was a really nice guy, which is why i’ve decided to stop listening to them, out of respect, i don’t want to hate his music because he was so nice, hahaha

The most recent KMFDM song I know is Anarchy and I think it is bad ass.

That song IS badass. It’s also unfortunately the beginning of the end since it marks the point when Sascha and Skold became BFFs.

Good god, 5 more albums since. Well… good for them for keeping on???

Yeah, they get the kind of embarrassed applause for their longevity that a disabled kid might get if he shat himself during his big speech in his school play, hahaha

Problem with newer KMFDM is lack of consistency and generic guitars. Each album always has a few songs that are pretty good. But the albums are usually anchored down by the shitty ones. Even the last album has a few good ones. Infact, I like a good bulk of the first half. The second, not so much.

Lou Reed - Mistrial.

But to be perfectly honest, I think he’s sucked ever since he did Berlin, the last decent thing he’s ever done, probably.

What about Lulu?

Both are really horrible as far as I’m concerned. Lulu MIGHT be worse, but I don’t know. Multiple kinds of terrible. But, I think his music has consistently gotten worse since he left Velvet Underground. Transformer and Berlin are great. But somewhere after that, the train wrecked.

In the case of Lulu the train hit a ramp, did a triple somersault and landed on an explosives factory, which blew up a neighbouring school full of poor, blind children [:)]
