…Just out of curiousity. Where and when were all you prongies born? And where did you grow up? What was your early family life like? What do you do now? Any major catastrophies along the way?
Mine life was kinda surreal.
I was born in Wellington, New Zealand in 1967 (which probably makes me the oldest person here by a mile), but spent most of my childhood in the upper crust suburbs of Los Angeles living with my father who was a PR to the rich and famous. In that time I witnessed just about everything (good and bad) you could ever wish to experience in one lifetime and still remain sane (although only just). Moved back to New Zealand in '85 and stayed for 5 years until my father died in '90 and I moved back to L.A to take care of his affairs.
In '96 I married the swimsuit model - eight years my junior- I’d had a secret crush on for years and about two years later we moved to Melbourne, Australia where we live to this day. I work in publishing and my wife works behind the scenes for a major tv station.
And we’ve just bought some property in the country…which we don’t quite yet know what we’ll do with.
Born in 1974 in Watford, a suburb in the north western end of London.
In 1975 my parents - conservative, strict, no nonsense types - emigrated to Australia with me and my older sister, chiefly because my mum was Australian and wanted to be near her family.
Not much else to tell really. I went to one of those snobby boys schools like the one in Dead Poets Society where everyone (well…almost everyone) disliked me intensely because I liked death metal and art films and had no interest in sports other than laughing at people who played them. I was considered ‘weird’ and hung out with types who were considered likewise (naturally). We smoked pot and listened to Butthole Surfers and Dinosaur Jr and rarely did homework or cut our hair much to the chagrin of our teachers.
Seventeen years after graduating high school and very little has changed - except now I have money in the bank and watch quite a bit of sport.
In '73 about 2 hours south of the northern border in MN. Early family life could have been much worse. The movies Miracle, North Country, and October Sky are a pretty good summary - economically depressed area. I moved to FL in '92 and went to some of the same places carmangary went to when I was at university. I moved to TX for 5 years to engineer things and then moved back to FL to engineer things. There were several loss of life/catastrophic failures on the journey.
I was born around the same time as the Chernobyl disaster. If it had any ill effects on me, it has yet to show. I think.
Spent most of my youth wandering through the acres behind where I live, taking in the wildlife, weather (often harsh) and forming opinions as to how the world operates. Kind of like Darwin, but without the chronic nausea.
Over the years have developed passions, in somewhat of a chronology: wrestling, football, films, rally motorsport, music, reading, art, women.
I have also developed dislike for the following: partisans, vacuous people, people who run their life like a business, Ian Paisley, Jean Calvin, outwardly religious people (unless they are beautiful girls. I once feigned religiosity to get closer to a hot European girl, it ended in hilarious circumstances)
I want many more decades of life so I’ll say no more on this topic and let it play out.
Born in Wellington, NZ in 75. Moved to Auckland, NZ in 79. Moved to Sydney, Australia in 87. Moved back to Auckland, NZ in 97. Moved to Cairns, Australia in 99 then moved to Edinburgh, Scotland UK where I remain to this day.
When I moved back to Auckland, NZ I got into the Casino industry and did that in Australia and here in Edinburgh before deciding to take a break from it. I’m now in the tourist industry.
Life’s good…way better than that Ministry song anyway!
Well, i was born on planet TriCon- 56885fh with its green skies, oceans of toxic waste, and binary star sunsets. (located about 100 light years from Earth) I ran away from home came here, got into a little band by the name of Ministry and… been dropping posts on Prongs ever since.[;)]

Can’t belive how many Aussies/Kiwis there are popping up on all of the forums that I frequent. On one particular board at least half of the members hail from Down Under.
On a side note, did you know that Melbourne, Australia is one of the fastest growing cities on Earth? If you’ve never been there…that place is fucking HUGE.
Born in '89 in Yuma, AZ. Folks split up when I was about four, and my mother took off to central Maine, deciding to haul me along with her. Life then became one ten-year-long episode of “Cops.” Witnessed, felt, and experienced a lot of relatively horrid shit, decided that white trash in large numbers wasn’t for me, and I got the fuck out of banjo country and moved back home. Did a lot of drugs, barely graduated high school by the skin of my teeth, had a nervous breakdown, started therapy, quit the drugs, quit therapy, you know… That sorta thang. Found solace in Eastern religion, booze, college, industrial, and beautiful women, and never looked back.
Hrmmm… shorthand version? Born in '79 in the boothill of Louisiana I moved around quite a lot until I was about to be teen. My father worked as a Systems Analyst and Networking Specialist in the Nuclear Power Plants around the country. Moved to Iowa, Nebraska, Texas, Florida, Colorado, Missouria and several other places. Finally settled down around the age of 10 in Alabama. Attended regular public schools all my life but got in lots of trouble as I got older and finally dropped out at 16 and got my GED. Became a hellion and travelled with lots of bands and friends around the country and a few places outside of the States. Joined the Army at 19. Hated it. Went back to my wild ways. Stayed that way till 29. Got back with my ex-fiance and have settled down and am happier than I’ve ever been and am now a Manager at a hotel in my local area (back in Alabama again).
That’s all I feel like telling. Anything else could be used as incriminating evidence in the 3872468273649287 pending cases I have against me, LOL.
Born in Denton, TX in '80 moved to Tulsa, OK when I was too little to remember. Went to OK State and graduated with a graphic design degree w/ a minor in art history in '05. Got married in '06 now about to be a dad come Aug./Sept. Had lots of fun in hs, college, after college and now looking forward to trying out this parenthood thing. Still love going to concerts and can’t see when that will go away. Going to see As I Lay Dying tomorrow @ Cain’s Ballroom.
it WAS philadelphia, born and raised. on the playground is where i spent most of my days. You know, just chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxing, all was cool as i shot a little basketball outside of the school. Man, then the day came when a couple of guys, who were really up to NO good, fucking started making trouble in my neighborhood. I got into a fight, just one little one, but my mom got scared and told me i was to move to bel air with my aunt and uncle. So i whistled for a cab and as it got closer i saw that the liscence plate said ‘fresh’ and there were dice hanging from the mirror! i mean if anything, i could say that this cab was rare, but i thought “nah, forget” and told the driver “you holmes, to bel air!”. I pulled up to a house at about 7 or 8 and said to the cabby “yo holmes, smell ya later.” then looked upon my kingdom, because i was finally there. Now i sit on my throne as the uh… prince of bel air.
