I see that over a dozen people have downloaded Same Old Madness, so I was hoping someone else would save me from being the constant nag, but…
The link for She’s Got a Cause isn’t working.
I Wanted To Tell Her (6.06) - I think this might be a better quality version of the demo version that was tacked onto the Twitch Demos cassette
It has a different ending, too - the version you posted so long ago ends with the guitar riff continuing for 15 more seconds and this new version ends right after the last vocal line ends.
work for love - exacty the same as “short version” that was released on WFL 12" single with ‘Japanese’ cover art
i wanted to tell her - exactly the same as the “with sympathy” album version, except this one is ~30 seconds longer, i guess they edited some repetitions out for the final release.
same old madness - obvious re-recording of the “original” version that was in the video. additional guitars, alot of harmonizing vocals, and other extra stuff - this is sort of like i wanted to tell her 12" version that was partially re-recorded with new parts and verses
she’s got a cause - same as the “with sympathy” version except added reverb on the drums you can hear in the intro, and 20 seconds longer.
revenge - this is the only one that is actually a demo, because it sounds unfinished (rather, unpolished). it’s actually virtually the same as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6FHQdMmwT0, that was featured as song of the week here once, but this one is in a bit lower key.
I haven’t had any luck with getting the download for “She’s Got A Cause” to work. I’ve tried re-uploading it and re-converting it and it produces the same error every time.
For those interested in the mp3, send me a PM and I will hook you up.
I added the two previously leaked demos to rapidshare for completion/comparison purposes.
Okay, I relent. Gila is convincing me that I don’t have to satiate my inner completist. If it’s just an extra 20 seconds and some reverb, then I’ll live.
Really love to hear more stories about this album and the surrounding tour!
Was watching the ‘Work for Love’ '83 live vid and just love to see Al clearly enjoying himself during that time. The keyboards on that album are just plain amazing.

For sure. Even the cheesier songs are incredible because of the keys. “What He Say” has that nasty break about halfway through that’s got fangs, man. Fangs.
