Total score for sure!!!
I hate to be the guy that hates audio quality, but… Can anyone convert this to something other than flac? I’m really excited to hear this, but I’m not an audiophile.

VideoLAN supports the flac format.

Can someone host these somewhere else for those of us not using Dime?

Awesome!
Thanks, guys!
The demos are actually pretty good. You can hear the continuity from WS to Twitch a lot clearer. Still wimpy as hell, but it’s got just enough of an edge to render it not wholly distinct from Twitch.
I was able to convert these to mp3 using dBpowerAMP Music Converter. It’s really easy to use.

And even easier to share so I don’t have to download a program for one-time use? I know I’m being lazy…
I’d be more than happy to share. What site do you guys want me to use to upload these?
Hmm. What sites still exist? Rapidshare? You’re a king among kings, rdm.
Anybody sharing on soulseek?
soulseek is still alive???
Here is a link for anyone wanting mp3 versions. http://my.rapidshare.com/realmdemagic/16067
I could kiss you.
Re: SOM
Spoke with Stevo and he’s sure that the chorused fingerpicking guitar during the chorus is Walter Turbitt.
Like me, he’s at a loss to explain why SOM never made it on to WS.

Thanks for investigating this Wemp!
Also on a somewhat related subject, you guys had a ton of songs performed live that were never done in the studio. Was there a sit down discussion on what songs were going to be considered? Revenge and Effigy were obvious choices, but America and Never Asked For Nothing are better than some of the material on the album.
There really isn’t any information on the unreleased songs, other than they were briefly played live, then retired. I think Al was asked about “America” recently and he has no memory of the song.

I remember that we were writing a lot and the setlist would change all the time based on that and audience reaction. So newer songs would replace songs that either didn’t get a good reception or were never really fully realized. The thing that sticks out to me on a song like America or NAFN is that they only have 2 parts. A verse and a chorus. So that kinda tells me that, even if the theme was good, the song never really ripened for one reason or another. We were usually all in agreement with which songs to keep and which to pitch. I don’t think that was ever really a problem at first.
Amazing after 30 years that this stuff keeps surfacing. Outstanding!!!
And thanks to Wemp for enhancing the legend of early Ministry!

That version of Same Old Madness has more balls than the entirety of WS and like 1/2 of Twitch.
