Surgical Meth Machine

I found it an amusing interview.

apparently Jello Biafra will be on a song on this thing

LOL it sounds like he’s already stopped ruling out a new Ministry album in the future.

on Ministry:

I’m not sure if or what I want to do with it. I’m just a studio rat, and record stuff not knowing if it’s gonna end up anywhere. Sometimes I have enough on the shelf where I go “wow, this stuff’s pretty good,” and we put it out. It’s just getting a bulk of ideas down and decide where they go later.

Shocking I’d assumed Al really meant it this time. How many final tours can one band have?

All of them.

Every. Fucking. One.

New song, “I’m Invisible.” Trip-hop lounge music, sounds nothing like Ministry.

I love it.
It’s about time he does something truly different and unexpected. This Meth Machine project had me shaking my head from the get go . . . “fastest record in the universe, Maaaaannn!!!” But as long as they just make it INTERESTING I’m stoked. I’m really excited to find what else lies in that album.

Holy shit, more of this please. Totally unexpected. And a decent video too. WTF?

Wow. I’ve officially moved from “Eh, I’ll check this SMM thing out” to “I’m really looking forward to this release.”
Dollars to donuts this is the oddball track on the record, but who knows?

Not at all what I expected Al to do, ever. I was expecting it to turn to metal, but it didn’t. I like it. Pretty hyped for the album now. Long time since i’ve been able to say that.

Great track. Can’t wait to hear the rest.

Cool! That made my Friday afternoon!

That’s some good shit. Way to go Al.

It’s definitely different for Al and it’s nice to see him stretching himself. That said the video of a 60 year old man acting cool by smoking medical marijuana at 4:20 was a little cringe inducing. Reminded me of the Whiz bass fest episode of Tom goes to the Mayor. Edgy man, super edgy!

This is fucking pleasant!!!
and isn’t it ironic that he is all the people in the video?
oh, and at the start of the song the time will be 4:20.
Song sounds very Quinton Tarantino-ish but in a good way.

That was a big curve ball by Al. The music itself was weak but what a pleasure to hear his voice. Now imagine if we had that Filth Pig sounding rhythm section instead of what we got in this new song…it would sound brilliant.

A+ for Al regardless.

The vibe if the song actually reminded me of the wonderful new Unloved album…

This is by far the most interesting thing Al has done since Revco’s Do You Think I’m Sexy. I hope he continues to experiment like this because he hit a home run with this one.

Interesting for sure. I like it!

that’s actually… good. fuck me. might actually be the first decent thing he’s done in a decade or more.

i’m diggin’ it…
