Awesome review
EPIC REVIEW
[shocked]
[shocked]
I give that review two thumbs up and a smirk.
I thought the reviewer let Al off way too easy.
I would have finished that review off with:
“If you manage to ever see a copy of this cd in your local record store (which is highly unlikely anyway, considering that nobody gives a shit about nu-Ministry anymore anyway) take it out of the rack and stomp on it. Right there in front of everyone. It’s worth getting arrested over. Trust me.”
Something tells me though that Greatest Tricks won’t be the last abortion to be shat out of Al’s asshole and have a ‘Ministry’ sticker slapped on it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH!!! I only got through the first two sentences, but that was awesome.
I thought this thread was for that greatest hits CD done 10 years ago or whenever. I can’t for the life of me even think of the name of it right now.
I’ll go and finish this review now as I’m sure it will be great.
OK, I read it. Awesome.
I had the misfortune last night of hearing his “Thunderstruck” version while I was trying to figure out how to close the 13th Planet website from my PC. So . . . unbelievably . . . AWFUL!!!
That was hilarious. I really want to see a new Al Jourgensen interview. If the guys just fucking around, I don’t know if I can blame him, he’s probably just making music, reading these threads and laughing his ass off.
Epic sentence…
"The cover of “Strangehold” sounds like the cover of “Iron Man” that sounds like the cover of “Paint It Black” that sounds like a pile of dogshit. "
yeah the review is right on the money
Superb.
Al sucks.
He hated it but he gave it 5 stars?
Anyway, I’ve decided this album isn’t so much BAD as it is totally pointless. I hope it makes The Onion AV Club’s Least Essential Albums of 2010 list.
Yeah that’s pretty insane he gave it 5 stars?
I think you were thinking of Greatest Fits Gunnar???
Greatest Fits was cool because it had What About Us on it.
Seems pretty appropriate to me.
Wait - he gave it zero stars. When that site awards a star it’s colored yellow.
C’mon though - it’s far from a good album, but zero?
^
It took me a bit to figure it out also, but Rev is right. All the star bubbles are unfilled. I think we’re just not used to seeing what a 0/5 looks like . . . . unfortunately, I know what it sounds like.
Zero is perfect because it isn’t really an “album”.
Zero is perfect because it isn’t realluy and “album”.
And it isn’t really “Ministry”.
And it’s a giant pile of crap.
as if new covers all being bad is not enough, it’s the recycling of all the old shit, like NWO and Stigmata and not in a good way.
i mean. 12" remixes were fucking genius compared to this stuff.
Well didn’t he re-record those old singles because he didn’t have the rights to them?
Either way I agree this cd is a flaming turd and shame on anyone who has bought anything Ministry-related since ‘Houses of the Mole’ !
I think at this point the ratio of good to bad Ministry output is about even, which is a shame for a once great band.
Well didn’t he re-record those old singles because he didn’t have the rights to them?
Probably.
Cleopatra does that a lot - sign an '80s band, have them re-record their hits, then do a million remixes and compilations appearances.
