And I think he chose to “remake” only those songs because those are the only tracks Warner will let him play with.
If Al is serious about these recent releases then i hope he sees thats review. If he honestly is just shitting this stuff out just for the fuck of it then that’s another story. He always had a fucked up sense of humor so maybe thats what it is along with a nice paycheck. Either way the Ministry name has pretty much lost all of its weight.
I think he’s just dicking around. Having fun. The world is full of middle aged guys who play in cover bands on the weekends for fun. It’s just that when Al does it he can put it on CD and people will buy it.
Perhaps if he’d put all these covers out under a side project name, say Co-Conspirators, people would be more forgiving. On the other hand, it wouldn’t sell.

Last thing I bought from Ministry was Rantology(used btw) and that will be the last thing I buy from them unless it’s an older album. I’ve seen Greatest Tricks in a store in san francisco and laughed. Now I will be tempted to grab it and smash it in front of everyone

It’s obvious Al is contemptuous of the music business and his fans at this point, and he’s just trying to make a living so he can retire from the slimelight.
