Eh?
No, Zombie was fantastic.
Monster Magnet was terrible.
Fear Factory was on the bill, too. They were pretty good.
should have mentioned my sarcasm… sorry

As for space rock - um…how about German 70’s rock like:
Tangerine Dream
Amon Duul II
Brainticket
Cluster
Popol Vuh
Faust
Can
Oh yeah, there’s the good stuff! I don’t know Brainticket and feel Amon Duul II is overrated but all the others are gold to my ears! I like the Cosmic Jokers too (just listening to them today) and Ash Ra Tempel (whose collaboration with Leary is freaky and brilliant).
Monster Magnet is great! Listen to “Spine of God” and “Dopes To Infinity”, then “Superjudge”, then “Tab”, and then describe them as uncool! I would call that spacerock, also, 35007.
I could never really get into Superjudge, never quite had the flow the other albums had I thought. Love the others though… after powertrip they got a bit generic, but still some good output. Love their cover of Venus In Furs.
Superjudge lacks consistency, the hawkwind cover always loses me, but some of their best tracks are on that one (Tracks 1 - 4 are gold). This one is all about TONE baby, fans of thick guitar fuzz need look no further. I also wouldn’t recommend anything post-powertrip to anybody. They are a bit like ministry in the latter years, in that every new record makes you realise the previous one wasn’t as bad as you first thought, in comparison. The most recent record is an embarrassment, unfortunately, but at least we won’t be getting a pseudo-dub version of it! (Mercifully, mm stick to the good stuff live).
