JAMESON!!!

JAMESON!!!

I pulled a bunch of bottles out of my cabinet to bring down. Jameson Black Barrel Select, Remy Martin XO, 1800 Anejo, and Suntory Whisky (for the best times, make it Suntory times!!). I also had some RIGOR MORTIS beer that I special ordered last year from a brewery in Quebec.

Also we had a bunch of cold American beer too.

There was no shortage of ways to get drunk.

WTF. I live in Quebec and never heard of Rigor Mortis beer! Do you remember the name of the brewery?

Was it good?

Yeah, Dieu Du Ciel: I couldn’t find it down here anywhere when I became aware of it, so I wrote to the guys and told them I was looking to buy some for my homies in Rigor Mortis as we were going to tribute Scaccia.

The guy didn’t know who Rigor Mortis was but was excited to hear there was a band of the name. He new who Ministry was as well as Scaccia and was very helpful. He arranged to ship it to a store in Los Angeles where I went to go pick it up and pay for it. Super great dudes.

Their other beers are good too. The Rigor Mortis is a trappist / Belgian abbey-style beer. Best served room temp or at least not super cold. Almost a quad, but kind of a brown ale/quad bastard, if you will. Very tasty.

16.5%…sounds nasty tasting. Anything over like 10% is pretty rough for me. I’m not a big stout either. Love the the label though.

great conversations with acid cripple and sean. It was great to meet Acid cripple, cool in life as he is on the board. Sean was a cool laid back dude just as he was the first time I met him.
Gunnar was was the greatest party ring master, as usual. Just an all around good time. I liked chillin with Sean in the back, I’m no longer wild n crazy like Gunnar is, so it was nice to have a wall-flower buddy.

I look forward to Void’s show in anaheim… Although, if that fucker won’t reply to my PM I may not be going at all.

It’s not 16.5%. It’s 10.5%. It was probably just an unclear photo.

It is very rare to find a beer above 14% that doesn’t feel like it was mixed with paint thinner and nail polish remover (there are a few nice exceptions, though).

Oh, okay…10.5% is still high but you’re right…the higher you go, the nasty it gets. Beers are pretty much 5.5 now with many in 6 & 7% range. Just a matter of time before the teens taste better.

Yeah, it was good to chat with you too. Glad you were able to hang out for a bit.

Looks like y’all had a great time. Still not enough to convince me to fork over $75 for the show, though!

The chile is an Anaheim Chile. Similar to an Ortega in that it is fleshy and grills up really nicely. More flavor and punch than an Ortega and less sharp than a jalapeno. The NM Hatch would be a decent flavor comparison, but they are sized nicely to throw on a Q (or toss in the toaster oven, which is how I roast them at home).

Rock on dudes. Thanks for sharing the fun.

still laughing at smrf’s joke about the ticket taker who looked exactly like rod stewart [laugh][laugh]

LOL!
It’s hard times now for Rod Stewart. Reduced to taking tickets at the Ministry show. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

[laugh]

The dude had to be related, or a super fan!

That’s hilarious. I had forgotten about the guy completely, but now that you remind me, I remember also making some lowball Rod Stewart jokes to him.

Ron just uploaded the ones from his phone . . . . .

A bit more of the same . . .

Gunnar, can you help the rest of us out and tell us who is who in a couple of the photos?

I recognize you, smrfy, and Ron, but I’m not sure of Sean, Acid, or anyone else.

I’m the guy in the 3Teeth shirt.

By the way, we totally don’t look drunk. Ahem.
