I was wondering about this today since the tour kicks off tomorrow…of course,it wouldn’t be surprising at all if they didn’tn’t do any of what he said they would do…will be interesting to read about tomorrow nights setlist on Thurs…either way I’m looking forward to seeing them on the 9th…
I’m hoping they’ll extend the tour and come to Portland after this. Hearing the new album in full would be a really welcome change (and hearing a bunch of LORAH tracks would be great too).
Both the new album and moves like playing it in full on the tour (if they follow through) are the sort of thing I’ve been missing with Ministry. It feels like Al is getting more adventurous again, which for me at least, was what I’ve been missing in their output of the last decade and a bit. It’s not so much the old songs that I miss (though I like them); it’s the fact that they always used to be doing something new and different and pushing themselves. I’m hopeful for Ministry’s future for the first time in quite a while.
[reply]not enough to get me to go but I’m glad he’s acknowledging the past.
Seriously?[/reply]
Yeah I don’t get that either…I am so happy just to see him do something different…I guess it depends on how much you like the new album…I really like it and am happy to see Al stand behind it even to the chagrin of many I am sure…and I’m pretty certain nobody thought they would ever see them do Land of Rape and Honey again(the song)…I’m psyched…

Yeah, i already saw him do the new album, i could go the rest of my life without seeing/hearing so what, thieves, nwo and just 1 fix again. So really it aint worth it for me to go for 4 new songs. Never been a huge fan of TLORAH song, so no biggee to miss it, you know hes gonna run the missing and deity together as one song and then stigmata. I wouldnt mind hearing stigmata but that alone isnt worth it for me to go. Gonna be sad to miss out on the merch booth but if the last two merch booths are anything to go on there wont be much.
Last march when he first toured it.
We got bad blood in the encore. That was definitely a highlight[/reply]
He didn’t do the whole album though…just a few songs…this is first time he is doing entire album…[/reply]
I think he did them all but two… close enough
Eh, to each his own I suppose. We’ve discussed this before, you like different albums than I do.
Personally, I think this is the best setlist he’s put together in. . .20+ years? The new album is strong enough to be played in full. The Rape & Honey tracks are more than expected. And bonus points for finally fucking dropping all the W era tracks. No more Señor fucking Peligro!!!
