Select songs of epic proportions

What would make up your playlist?

I’d go with following:

Jesu: ‘Heart Ache’
King Crimson: ‘Starless’
Pink Floyd: ‘Comfortably Numb’ (the live post-Waters version)
Moby: ‘Face It’
Godflesh: ‘Jesu’
Flowering Blight: ‘The Perfect Pair’
Swans: ‘Helpless Child’
Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays: 'As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls
Tool: ‘Pushit’
The Doors: ‘The End’
The Who: ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’
Mad Season: ‘November Hotel’
Jane’s Addiction: ‘Three Days’
Krystof Penderecki: ‘De Natura Sonoris no.2’

Also an effective endurance game for Ministry’s ‘Leper’ is to, when it starts, hold your arms out perpendicular to your body (so your body makes a ‘T’ shape, disregarding your neck and head) and see how long you can last holding them out like that. If you can last the whole song you’re a strong man. Note: the song must be played as loud as possible.

How could I forget:

Revolting Cocks: 'Get Down

Mine would be the following…

Jesu “Ruined”

There is no need for anything else.

Jane’s Addiction: ‘Three Days’

Hells yeah.

ps, see above comment for: the doors, godflesh and jesu too.

I’d add Black Sabbath Megalomania, and The Writ.

And if you believe the track listing on their first album:

Wasp / Behind the Wall of Sleep / Bassically / N.I.B. is one song, and A Bit of Finger / Sleeping Village / Warning is too. So they’d be up there.
