My absolute most anticipated movie is megan.
Trailer is very creepy.

How many of you have seen Black Roses, the 80s satanic panic heavy metal horror movie? There’s a lot of fun to be had and while it never quite lives up to the first five minutes or so, I still had a blast and feel it’s the sort of thing that you all have likely seen or might enjoy.

Never heard of this one…Thanks. I just watched the trailer…Carmine Appice is in it…hehe.

Yeah,I’ve seen that glorious piece of crap…love it…when I have more time I’ll throw up a few others in a similar vein…

I hadn’t got around to seeing “Black Roses” but will definitely try and pick it up.
Along those lines, though, let’s not forget the cinematic masterpiece 'TRICK OR TREAT" starring Skippy from “Family Ties”, the music of Fastway, and brief cameos from Ozzy Osbourne and Gene Simmons… which they parlayed to the DVD cover as if they are the main character.
SAMMI CURR FOREVER!!!

TRICK OR TREAT…another, thanks man. Not sure I knew about this one. Looks very cheesy.

Trick or Treat is on my watch list for sure! Also want to see “Rock n Roll Nightmare” by the director of Black Roses. It’s supposed to be boring but with a fun final act.

Ahhh yes,Rock n Roll Nightmare with the legendary Jon Miki Thor from the band Odin(featured in the seminal cheese-fest The Decline of Civilization Part2 The Metal Years)…and yes,you heard correct in that the movie is a terminal slog until that final act which is so epically bad/awesome that it has to be seen to be believed…

Trick or Treat is a Velveeta classic as well…most definitely worth a watch and there are some great cameos…

976-Evil is even more guvment cheese spread thick…I would recommend that one fore sure when talking about this specific genre of film…

Some other trash classics of the Satanic Panic era era I would recommend are:
Monster Dog
Rocktober Blood
Blood Tracks
Terror on Tour
Hard Rock Zombies

I’m sure there are others but those are the ones of seen and are probably considered the best of the worst…

Jon Miki Thor was a different cheeseball. His band (really really really awful) was called . . . Thor. Odin (at least more listenable than Thor, but nothing special) was indeed heavily featured in “Decline 2”, though. They were so persistent…
“We’re gonna make it!”
“What if you don’t?”
“No, that’s not going to happen. We ARE going to make it?”
“Yeah, but what if you don’t?”
“Oh, we’re definitely going to make it! You’ll see!”

Spoiler Alert: Odin did NOT make it.

OK so this isn’t a movie but I stumbled across this recently while fishing around on YT. I spent a few hours yesterday and am back for more today. Watching some dude clean out culverts and drain beaver ponds. It’s mesmerizing and I’m not the only one. Dude has like 675K subscribers.

I saw “The Menu.” Twice. A fucking brilliant piece of dead-soul-black comedy.

Watching “The Boys” on Amazon Prime. Great shit. I checked out the premiere of “The Last Of Us” and was unmoved. Zombies. Again?

The Menu is a fun ride …I really liked it a lot…worked as horror,comedy and satire…wonderfully done…

Really looking forward to the new Brandon Cronenberg film called The Infinity Pool…

Going to see Skinamarink on Thurs…

Yeah, The Menu was great.

I like the boys. Excellent premise.
The plot of the new cronenberg film looks cool

I was hoping The Menu would be on my flights last week, but no such luck. There was, however, BOILING POINT (2021) which was really insane. It’s a super high stress look at a night of a restaurant’s operation. It’s all done in one single uninterrupted shot which really blows my mind. Kind of a hard movie to really describe well, but certainly one that needs to be experienced.

Menu was great, though Triangle of Sadness which I saw in the same week was even better. The rare black comedy that’s actually really fucking funny!

Triangle of Sadness is fucking outstanding…great call, green death…one of the best slow burns I’ve seen in a while…I laughed my ass off…

Gonna have to look into Boiling Point…and the one Gunnar is talking about not the 90s piece of crap starting Wesley Snipes heh…

I also recently saw the prequel to X called Pearl which was a blast…a technicolor mind fuck from Ti West that is the second movie of a trilogy, the third(Maxxine)of which is supposed to be out later this year,I believe…

Hoping to make it out to “Infinity Pool” in the next week. Huge David Cronenberg fan but haven’t really followed his son yet.
