So What (With “help” from wayne static. What a fuckin joke!!! Wayne had the lyrics written out for him on little cards and he still didn’t know the lyrics he just stood there on stage like a fuckin’ idiot and then when he would scream “so what” I don’t even think his mic was on. STUPID!!!)
NWO (Bell Sings Al On GTR)
J1F (Bell Sings Al On GTR)
Thieves (al sings Bell standing there looking stupid but not quite as stupid as Wayne)
(Encore 2)
Road House Blues (al Duets With Bell)
Just got paid (Bell Sings Al On GTR)
Under My Thumb (Bell Sings Al On GTR)

The show was good for what it was. (still think he false advertised it though and still pissed over that) I bought my tix back in november I had nothing better to do and i actually had a good time. Their vip goody sack was pretty light as well (75 dollar value my ass) I don’t mind the newer stuff although i’d much rather hear old stuff.
one thing that kinda pissed me off is on the back of the CuLaTour zip up hoody it has ministry 1981-2008 but when Al (had Mrs. Smrf try, i figured she would get away with it better than i could since she’s a girl) was asked to sign my with sympathy CD he said “i Don’t sign that one anymore” dude!! if he’s gonna disown it don’t stamp the date when it came out on the merch!!
I had him sign filth pig and the fall single (he didn’t even recognize the fall (what’s this he asked i had to tell him it was the fall)
Merch booth sux. 3 different t-shirts one that is the redone last supper. the other two look dangerously close to nazi logos(those wings and shit not the actual swastica) yellow and black faux hockey jersey, two different types of bags, bag o’ buttons, an “Uncle Al for president” bumper sticker, earplugs w/ the ministry logo. huge ass wall poster of TLS (wierd logo not the W snake) and a baby doll T, the zip up hoody, new style ministry beanie.
The highlight of the show was some kid from the audience charged the stage grabbed onto the fence and brought it tumbling down on the audience. (it was ancored with sand bags for christs sake) Security beat the shit out of him. the crowd tried to pull the fence even farther into the audince security managed to get the fence back and put it back up.
the fence: two 20 feet high sections on either side of the stage with a 3 foot high fence in the middle of the the two 20 footers.
I’ll type more later it’s after 4 now here
Late,

actually, sounds like it had the redeeming value of being comical

either way, Im glad im not paying for seeing them this year.

What was in your VIP bag??

No “Play the Fall” signs this year then Grmp? Hehe, he didn’t even recognize the single suppose he wouldn’t be playing it!!

i’m happy withthat set list.

seeing as i REALLY like static-x, i would love to hear wayne on so what.

what part did he take?

i covered so what once, i’d liek to hear how i match up with wayne, haha.

In defense of Al, With Sympathy came out in 1983. He can disown it and still claim that Ministry goes back to 1981 (the date of the first Wax Trax! single). I’m surprised he didn’t scrawl something on the data side of the CD, since I heard he destroys every copy of that album he finds!

I wonder if Al would refuse to sign the European 12" of Cold Life, with the four naked men on the cover. I’m considering bringing that one in case I meet him…

I have a Ministry T-shirt with a swastika on the back (the American flag swastika from Filth Pig). It’s in very dark grey on black cloth and I didn’t notice it until after I bought it.

Under My Thumb (Bell Sings Al On GTR)

Ending one of the “last Ministry shows ever” with a cover. I don’t know what to think about that…

just for the record…
Al signed both my original wax trax pressing of I’m Falling/Cold Life (Cold Life was the B-side people!!!) “this one’s from 1931”
and
my LORAH which Paul signed for me in 2003
without attitude or disfigurement…

nice

Paul Barker: “GRACE & POWER!”

Love it. [:)]

Also… what’s the deal with the “Wicked Lake” thing?

looks like a sad remake of i spit on your grave, but the MUSIC sounds fuckign TIGHT. haha.

Smurf, you didn’t really think he’d sign a With Sympathy CD, right? When he was signing Filth Pig, that would’ve been a good time to ask why he didn’t play anything off that album, or Animostisomina, or DSOTS, or…

what innerturmoil posted was pretty much it. although he left out the CuLaTour arm band

I totally forgot to ask. I was going to make another one but i forgot that too. i showed up wearing my devils jersey again (like last tour) Al saw it and got all excited and said “lets talk puck… meet and greet is over!” i said, “right on” We through some hockey stats at each other he signed my cd’s and that was it.

I did ask Sin (after the meet and greet but before the show) to have Al play it and all he would say is “it’s not on the set list, I want to play some older stuff too but it’s al’s show”

Well i thought he might since it’s a “whole catalogue” salute tour. Really, i just wanted to see if he would sign it so i could come back here and post it! I thought he may try to destroy the cd that’s why we only gave him the booklet while the CD and case stayed safely in the truck. Al seemed have no problems signing “The Fall” either even though Paul Barkers sig was already on there… That was cool. You know i wasn’t star struck at all in front of him. I was star struck for Paul, which is odd because I’ve always associated Al AS Ministry. I associated Paul with Ministry as well but Al more so. Maybe all of the Al bashing on here brought him down to normal person level, while Paul never gets bashed (with good reason). who knows…

I know, but we were yapping about hockey and i was totally one tracked minded. I didn’t realize i had forgotten to ask until we were down stairs hanging out waiting for the show to start.

Typical isn’t it? Here, you have many, many posts badmouthing Ministry and other things, and most recently, their setlist choice, and yet, when you see him in person, you don’t even mention it. I’m not encouraging people to ask him - but if people must bitch and yet see him and don’t mention anything, it leaves me with the impression that they were just bitching to bitch. I guess, this is the Internet and I should be used to it.

I think you have me mixed up with someone…I’ve only bitched about the set list (i completely bitch about angie but she’s NOT ministry)(and Cover up But I said my peice once or twice on it and I’ve let it go Cover being the only album since 88 that just totally sux and is a cash grab) I don’t mind the new records. I’ve said quite a few times I hate bush so i don’t mind if Al preaches to the choir but can see why others would bitch. I like fast thrashy music little disapointed it’s not the older style of Ministry because there are already quite a few bands out there that do fast thrashy music whereas i don’t know one other band that did old style ministry type music. But you’re right on one point with as fiery as I’ve been about the set list on here I should’ve said something…[:(] i just forgot plane and simple

I guess you missed this part of the post

he DIDN’T sing!! he stood there on stage fumbling for the correct little card with the coresponding lyrics and by the time he found it that part of the lyrics were over so he sang NO verses. He didn’t know when the beat was to scream “SO WHAT”! finally when he did figure out when to scream SO WHAT, towards the end of the song, he would growl into the mic but no sound came out…REALLY pitifull! he came out with his hair done straight up in the air to hide the fact he is balding. It would have been much cooler to pull somebody out of the crowd to sing it cause it would be almost guaranteed they would know all of the lyrics.
Late,
grmpysmrf

well nah i saw that but part of me assumed that it was just unfair bashing.
i mean if that was really the case, then pooh that is sad.

wayne should have been brought out to sing burning inside…

well nah i saw that but part of me assumed that it was just unfair bashing…

I’m strongly opinionated but I wouldn’t characterize myself as “unfair” unless i’m doing it facetiously (see the “hemlock is the best band ever” thread)
