Hey man thanks for the review definitely the best one I’ve seen. Since al doesn’t talk much between songs it was nice seeing that. Was also great to see who was handling vocal duties and when. The static X thing sounds like a fucking joke and would have really pissed me off, bigtime.
It really does seem like al is phoning it in(forgetting which songs to play when, and the setlist order). It’s typical Al, not really caring about the fans, but I can honestly say, I was on the fence today about going(sunday april 6th) and I’m pretty sure I made the right choice. I’ve seen ministry live several times since 86(I grew up in Chicago) and even as recent as last tour, but I can honestly say I don’t think I would have enjoyed this too much…even the 3(4at this show) oldies he throws us a bone for are the SAME ones he did last tour and most tours

No problem, I figured the Kids over at the PA would probably give it good marks no matter what and nobody here would probably go or even lives close to LA as far as I know (i’m sure the real image of ministry lies between the shallow praise over at the PA and narrow negativety here on the board) so I thought I would give a play by play with a few bits of my own color commentary. All in all it was a good show cause I like the bush bashing but really seemed quite a bit like last tour (if getting mocked is all that happens to bush for his treason, he’s getting off light!)BTW they are not using a set list. they are doing it all from memory. which is why, I think, Al forgot.

We saw a picture of a printed set list for Vancouver just the other day; are you saying they’ve stopped printing out the set list? Seems weird.

Really? I asked this one Particular roady who was really cool, (He handed me Picks from all of the members after the show) (nice looking gentleman didn’t look the part of a roadie at all nicely combed hair kinda tall and lanky-I asked him his name and shook his hand But I’ve since forgotten his name) He started talking to me about My Hockey jersey before the show, while they were setting up. I asked him for a set list after the show he siad “We’re not allowed to give them out…but I’ll get you some picks after the show (and he delivered) …Besides they aren’t bringing any set lists out” i want to say his name was kevin But I think that was the crew member outside rolling posters off of the pallet (was also a cool guy Unlike the the red haired girl who had the australian/new zealand (Can never tell them apart) accent who was a total snob…maybe it was just for LA they weren’t bringing out set lists

[reply]well nah i saw that but part of me assumed that it was just unfair bashing…
I’m strongly opinionated but I wouldn’t characterize myself as “unfair” unless i’m doing it facetiously (see the “hemlock is the best band ever” thread)

unfair was the wrong word, im sorry.
i meant just bias, or somethign along thoes lines. i didnt mean anything negative to you by it.
Well, tonight is my turn. I hope Wayne from Static X is NOT there, how freaking lame. So What would be a nice addition (maybe the band is getting healthier, and slowly padding the setlist? Oh sure). I’ll post a full review and set list when I get home, but why do I have the feeling I’ll be using copy/paste for half of my post? Screw it, I’ll fuck with you guys, and tell you they played Golden Dawn and Just Like You.
Not to bring up another Cure set list, but I just saw today that they upped the ante to 42 songs at Wembley at the end of last month. A FOURTH encore where they came back out and only played “Faith”. Fucking hell - 3-1/2 hours. That’s a long night, but talk about having nothing to bitch about re: the setlist. Just hoping I have something ‘exciting’ to report after the show. Yeah, I know…

sound quality is real bad but it seems like their performance is good.
so even if the setlist leaves a lot to be desired, at least its a typical loud and fast Ministry show…
this is why they ban you for off site linking to the torrents there…
here’s the information that he didn’t copy over, where I specified that it sounds like shit…
“0/2 On My Last 2 Recordings…Bass Overkill again…think my rig may just be going…
Ranges from OK to mostly unlistenable…”
