You forgot the CD of dubstep remixes and the “hits” collections where they just repackage stuff from earlier releases in a different order.

I am really hoping they have some early copies of this available at the Without Sympathy event, because I’d rather contend with a bunch of Ministry fans than stand in line behind a massive number of record nerds and (far, far worse!) record speculators on Record Store Day…which takes place the very next day. I don’t think I’ll be out and about for that.

Yeah, RSD is getting a bit ridiculous. I’m only going out for this release. The record store I shop at wasn’t going to order it originally, since it’s mainly a CD box set, but they ordered one for me.
He’s not allowed to hold it, but he’s going to keep it in a not so obvious spot, then show me where it’s at when I get there.

I struck out. Store I went to had one copy. I was there at 7am, but by 8 it was gone. Went to store 2 and line was around the block. Kept driving.

They posted something on the Ministry Facebook quite a while ago about looking for Ministry stuff from the early years. I replied, not knowing what was up, but happy to contribute. I sent them what I have and some thoughts on a few things and connected them up with a few other people who were actually around back then. I haven’t really been in the loop on what they’ve been releasing, but I get solid info when I ask what’s up.
Supposedly they’re hooking me up with a copy, but I haven’t seen it yet. Wasn’t something I asked for, but something they offered, which I thought was really kind to do. If it never shows, I’ll probably just buy one. Looks like it’s really well produced. Which is what Athan said they were going for. Really nice to see this attention to quality. Complete 180 from the Cleo of the mid-90’s. I’d love to see more in this vein.

That’s really awesome. I hope they come through for ya’. The box is really quite nice. A little heavy towards the Ministry era I’m not a super fan of but like you pointed out, it’s well produced and really just a nice piece to have in the collection. Plus, there’s something in there for everyone, especially since I am a superfan of all of the side projects of that era.
