Anyone remember the darkspoon… poster at the beginning of ‘Little Nicky’? I remember seeing it and being so happy cause ministry had just gotten dropped and everyone shat on ‘darkspoon’ in 1999
Here’s my all time favorite, though, for obvious reasons.
Watch at the top of the screen at the 0:18 mark.

Yeah, i bet Doogie Howser was a massive fan of Rigor Mortis. He must have listened to them to relax between bouts of wrestling with his own sexuality.
^ School of Rock? There is a Ministry sticker in the van…
I remember that…but the movie I’m thinking of has a Ministry Mind poster…
I remember being at a friends house watching a show. This kid had a poster of Download’s III hanging in her bedroom. I pointed it out and I remember my friend saying one of the actors is really into that sort of music. So, it was probably an episode of the X-Files.
Also, one of the actors in Warehouse 13 occasionally wears an OhGr shirt on screen.
Lastly, in Return of the Living Dead III, the main character has a poster of Psalm 69 in his bedroom.
Cool stuff.
Also, there’s a Pailhead nod in “High Fidelity”. Jack Black is looking for others for his band Sonic Death Monkey and under “influences” it lists, among other names, PAILHEAD.
Ah, High Fidelity - easily in my top 5 of movies that I can’t watch in anyone’s company, because the temptation is overwhelming to point out everything they got wrong about music culture in Chicago.
Like the one love interest who is kind of a dreaded folk singer, or whatever - she’s playing at LOUNGE AX (r.i.p.), a venue that never would have booked that type of music in a million years. Or, provided they did, the audience would be sharpening their heckling skills throughout the whole set. Chicago indie culture types can be ruthless; they once successfully harassed the crew of MTV’s ‘Real World’ to prevent them from shooting a season of that lame-o show in the Wicker Park neighborhood of the city.
^In the movie “Doom Generation”, one of the main characters rocks a Ministry shirt throughout the film.
Yeah, the shitty director who made that movie is a big industrial guy. He had the Skinny Puppy guys cameo in that one too, I think.
There was a sci-fi horror flick back in the early 90’s called “Hardware” and in one scene Lemmy is playing this post-apocalyptic taxi boat driver and he says something like “check these guys out” and he puts in a cassette that plays “Ace of Spades”.
There was an episode where a teenage character had a poster that said “Ich bin ein Auslander”.
Just saw this one, also in season 5 (“Schizogeny”)
There’s a kiss picture to the right, though it’s dark (but who cares?) and the Megadeth poster to the left.
And here’s another shot of the kid’s room, with Megadeth, Slayer, and…Poison? Alright.
And somehow they managed to sneak in some boobs.

Yeah, they were in the Doom Generation for a split second. Cevin Key apparently fell off the car and fractured his knee.
Gregg Araki, the director, was a big industrial fan, and used BABYLAND a lot in his movies. Their songs, some live clips, even as extras. In another film he did, Nowhere, he used their lyrics for a character’s room (though I don’t think he realized some of the lyrics were from a cover they did of The Chills.)

Also had Carl McCoy of Fields of the Nephilim as a desert nomad and Iggy Pop as Angry Bob the DJ:
{On the radio] “This is Angry Bob, the man with the industrial dick… coming at you loud and clear on W.A.R. radio; Rise and shine, folks, it’s a beautiful day… just look at that sky, it’s a work of art !; Hah, nature never knew colors like that !; And a friendly reminder: when you look at it, be sure to wear your shaaades ! ; The radiation count is wayyy up and the heat wave is not expected to let up either;Weather control tells us it will probably hit one hundred and ten downtown before nightfall; As for the good news… there is nooo fuckin’ good news !; So let’s rock, with one of our golden oldies !” - May have played Cold Metal next if I remember.
Showed a chunk of the Stigmata video at one point in the movie as well.
Goddamn, now I have to go dig that movie out.
Hardware is great. I have it on bluray and check it out a couple times a year. They screw up and play a gwar video while playing stigmata

HAHAHHAHAA!!! Thanks. It’s been so long since I’ve seen that one. I’d forgotten that.
don’t forget the almighty peeping tom scene with PIL’s “The order of death” playing! classic. that song can make anything badass

I wouldn’t say it’s a “screw up” so much as the director probably wanted some really crazy visuals to go with the song and didn’t think anyone would care.
Remember in “The Dead Pool” where Jim Carrey lip syncs to “Welcome To The Jungle”?
I’ve seen NIN posters in a shit load of films…

fucking epic. well done.
I have a screen shot somewhere in my files of Mark (the little sissy kid on Home Improvement) wearing a Neurosis Enemy of the Sun shirt when he was going through his goth phase. In another episode, his goth homie Ronnie was wearing a Danzig shirt.
I remember being on rec.arts.music.industrial back when that show was on the air and somebody saying he heard the kid was genuinely into that stuff. I think someone spotted him in a Skinny Puppy shirt.
