Awesome! The write up was great. Nice review. I hope you’re right, twerk, about everything you wrote cause it sounds great. You definitely sold it.
he looks more broadly at the circumstances and socio-political context that brought Donald Trump to office.
This quote single-handedly gives me hope for the lyrics of the album. I think this approach to lyrics/subjects has kept the lyrics to many Dead Kennedys songs relevant.
The end result is an album that is most reminiscent of 1996s Filth Pig and 1999s Dark Side of the Spoon.
I guess we’ll see. I’ll believe it when I hear it. but I am looking forward to it.
Ive listened to it a bunch and really, really like it. I think a bunch of prongers are going to be surprised. Far better than FBTE or Relapse.
Really, Antifa and Were Tired Of It are the only two uptempo tracks. Everything else is dark and Filth Piggy.
When yall hear Game Over you just might cream your panties.
And Im prepared to be scolded if yall hate it.

Right on! Your review has me looking forward to it. Before i was gonna just pick it up because its ministry. Now … waiting for march 9!

That much is obvious.
The general consensus among prongers is positive. This is due to Al actually putting forth the effort as opposed to the unintelligent, riff-centric dogshit we got the last few albums. I mean he actually FUCKING SINGS on Wargasm.
I’m blasting off about this album.
Prongers are about the only ones I’ve seen giving a positive response…man, some of the comments sections on certain sites I frequent (Blabbermouth, Metalsucks,Metal Injection etc)have just been savagely ripping Al and Ministry…just caustic …
Yeah, I’m quite shocked at how many Trumptards were Ministry fans and have just now found out about Al’s political preference.
It’s not like he did 3 albums in a row bashing a Republican president or anything.
Yeah,exactly…worlds worst kept secret…
If those posts are even from actual Ministry fans. Maybe most of them are bots/Russians/whatever.
The irony of a Russian bot that’s a Ministry fan amuses me.
One of the most unfortunate effects of this whole “Russian bot” thing is now everyone is starting to accuse any post with a right wing opinion of being a bot.
The fact is, Trump pushes buttons of anger and hatred and violence that a lot of people into heavy music get off on - more so than Bush 2 did (though I certainly remember people jeering and booing when an anti-Bush video played before one of Ministry’s '90s shows). Additionally, ever since Psalm 69 Ministry has attracted a bit of a lunk-headed redneck crowd. I guarantee Kid Rock is in regular rotation with some of the vocal complainers.
I’m not at all surprised by this visceral reaction, although it certainly is stupid.
Already seeing random rightwingers accusing the positive reviews for the album of being leftist propaganda/people just pretending it’s good because it’s anti-Trump, lol. Some of that shitheel metalhead crowd who swear they’re longtime fans who saw the band this many times over that many decades is really invested in this album failing because of the Trump stuff, and I still don’t know why so many of them expected anything else from Al.
EDIT: Thinking about it though, I’ve noticed quite a few Trump fans also hate the Bushes and/or the republican party itself for one reason or other and base their worship of Trump at least partially on their perception that he’s “not like other republicans”, so I guess it sort of lines up in a way that makes sense why they’d be dumb enough not to expect this.
I’ve reviewed it:

Whoops. Cheers for that.

Ouch!
Also, relocation to LA. Not reallocation.
“Reallocation” is an anagram of “Al relocation,” so it works?
I think The Ruts has some fair criticisms, but even if my reaction is exactly the same, I’m not likely going to give this a 1/5. Even if it’s the most generic, uninspired Ministry album yet, I’ll probably get 2/5 enjoyment from it at least (which is what I gave Relapse when I reviewed it, but even that one has kind of grown on me).

I’m not sure “tinny” means what you think it means.
