If anyone is interested in replacing their crappy Cleopatra sleeve (or original bootleg cover), I have created my own DVD sleeve that any competent designer could have created for those lazy bastards.
For reference, here is the new Cleo sleeve, which looks to have been thrown together in about 5 minutes:
…and here is my design, all text re-keyed in the original typeface, and then images scanned in and cleaned up, and a new blue oval RevCo logo. The PDF has crop marks, so you just need to print it and trim it…

BTW, just for the historical record- the show was actually on Sept. 5, 1987, not the 4th. I was there. Been the wrong date on the original release since forever. [:/]
I have the DVD, it looks transferred from a DigiBeta master, not VHS. The original show was shot on those (or similar pro videotapes), so it will never look much better no matter how much remastering/restoration is done.
Such is life.
They actually use the correct typeface for the DVD menu and song selection (Peignot LT Demi), but got lazy with the sleeve design. Minimal budget, I’m sure. Ah well. I haven’t printed the sleeve out yet, so please let me know how it looks…if anyone prints it out.
Just saw the Cleo artwork as displayed above…am glad to see that FINALLY somebody has acknowledged Chris Connelly’s involvement in KILLING JOKE! For all these years a “Jaz Coleman” has been credited as lead vocalist for KJ, but come on, we all know that’s just a pseudonym for Chris. Kudos to Cleopatra for setting the record straight with their impeccable fact-finding skills.

I’m confused about certain parts of the show though. Sometimes the music and video are out of sync and I’m guessing Luc isn’t playing the bass…it’s just there. Another scene where Al is playing guitar but I don’t hear any guitar. Other parts but I can’t remember right now.
