Mine looks good, at least better than the downloaded copy I’ve had for a while, no more compression artifacts on my screen. The audio is nice and clear, but definitely less bass-y than my old copy. I didn’t notice any sync issues, but some of the editing makes it look like a different ‘scene’ versus what is actually happening at times (like the slo-mo shots). Chris and Al’s lips appear to sync up with the audio.
I am so used to the original video quality that it really has never looked better than this. Not sure how well the source video could be remastered, other than being converted to fit a 16x9 HDTV screen. I ripped this to my pc right away and stream through my old Boxee box, and just use a 14x9 stretch feature to fill the screen. Still looks good. Helps that this concert kicks so much ass.
If I can find some good source scans, I want to create an authentic-looking In Case DVD sleeve. My VHS is loooong gone, so I don’t have anything to scan, other than the CD, which doesn’t have the same images.
