I’m going to verify this to make sure it’s not another Jizzwad joke.
But if this is for real, what the fuck is up with the song titles?!?
EDIT: Just verified the info…saw a post about it over on the Marilyn Manson forums…
The album art is absolutely terrible…
I hope this record isn’t a let down. Greater Wrong of the Right was good but in my opinion more of an “Ohgr-featuring-cEvin kEy” thing than a real follow up to The Process.
The album was just too heavy on the poppy elements and the retro-synth chiq of Ohgr stuff for me…
Can’t wait for this one. Greater Wrong was ok, but I’d like to think they still have some classic material up their sleeves. The song titles…yeah, they’re annoying to look at, and kinda silly in general. Guess the name itself isn’t such a big deal, as long as the tune is good. Hell, one of my favorite SP songs is titled “Dogshit” (a song they really need to break out on the next tour).
The album art is a modified version of a painting called “Why I Hate Europeans”, I’m guessing by Manuel Ocampo. Someone on Litany did some digging and found it. Here’s what the original looks like:
He wanted Ogre in a black leather thong soaked in the blood of a bunch of vivisected labratory animals, their carcasses strewn all over the ground around him in the shape of a pentagram.
If everyone thought like they did we’d all still be living in trees, there would be no countries (only continents…since countries have boundaries and with boundaries come restrictions and…well restrictions are ‘evil’ and ‘racist’), there would be no system of currency, no scientific exploration, no cures for illness (because with cures comes scientific research and scientifc research is ‘evil’…dontcha know) and animals would be worshipped as gods.
But there’d be lots of HEROIN! ('cos “heroin’s ok”…dontcha know!!)
Here’s hoping the next Puppy album will be chalked full of more positive, innovative tunes devoted to finding a cure for cancer and the beauty of Proctor & Gamble products for all us pro animal testing rivet heads.

Now THERE’S the Peligro we know and love!
i really like skinny puppy. i think they have held to their “thing” thoughout their whole career. I think their “product” (DVDs, CDs, shows, etc.) are always top-notch. I personally can’t think of many artists that I feel that way about.
I actually kinda sorta liked TGWOTR. In a weird sort of “yeah I guess it’s not bad but could be have been better had they’d done…instead of …” kind of way.
The nu-metal influence felt in the opening two tracks was kinda worrying though. Wonder if the new album will venture down that irksome path again…!

Totally agree… I for one thoroughly enjoy The Greater Wrong. Harkens to their earlier work.
