I dont see how anyone could be embarrassed to be affiliated with the Revolting Cocks ,atleast the line-up of the first three albums…
They created great music, with confrontational lyrics [PHYSICAL, to name one].

I wouldn’t even be embarrassed to be associated with Cocked & Loaded.
Well, maybe a little.
Gerda, I got one thats been bugging me:
In another thread, you mentioned that Paul spent part of his childhood in Mexico, was it in a particular state?

I actually do enjoy cocked & loaded[I was working a Butthole Surfers show a few years back, and all i wanted to do was Flash the Revco emblem to Gibby, no luck that night though], and havent listened to the full franchise albums. my comment, much like carmangary’s was for the lol.
As a toddler, Paul spent a year in Taxco. Guerrero state. He thinks his first words were in Spanish.
Carmangary, my favorite word is—GO!
That explains why he was listed as doing spanish guitars on the Rubber Glove Seduction single
Don’t you think it’s weird that the P & A collaboration over the years started with a common language? (my AHA moment of the second)
Spanish guitars are beautiful instruments to hear. And easy on the eyes. Nice one, Eureka Pile.
“night”, party people.
I wonder if Al and Paul would ever switch to Spanish if they wanted to have a conversation without the other guys knowing what they were saying.
Do either of them actually speak Spanish? Being able to say taco and hola doesn’t count.
Seeing as Al’s mother is from Cuba (as far as I remember) I would bet money that he is fluent in Spanish.
Taco Grande Blood.
Some get here and never learn to speak American English because the community they live in is native Spanish-speaking too.
Yea, but they came to US when Al was very young and we all know people from Cuba only speak English once they get here.
Yeah, except when they get really pissed off. Didn’t “I Love Lucy” teach you anything?
Ok, since there’s an actual thread for these:
Do you play any musical instruments? Ever been in a band?
Any other old- school Chicago band recommendations?
When is Paul going to finally do a proper release for Low And Slow?
Any chance of Paul being up for a full-blown Prongs interview? I can keep the nerd-factor down to a 6 or so, if it helps.

Esto es muy cierto. Tengo familia en el ghetto que no sabe ni una palabra de englis, y ya tienen bastante tiempo viviendo el los estados. Pero en mexico la gente joven si sabe englis por que en las escuelas les ensenian.
HAHAHHAHHA read that suckers! or use google translator [laugh][:)]
viviendo en los estados… No google translation neccesary.
<3 bisquitodoom’s nerdfactor levels.
PEOPLE. Calm down. I did hear Al speaking some espanol over the years, but his Spanish ( I recall) is about as good as my Polish at this point. I know mostly the Deutsch. Maybe why I was always yucking it up with Sascha, who’s Russian but lives in Deutschland. The Slavic/ German language angle. Sometimes I forget which is which as far as translating something, or trying to come up with an idiom or at least something funny. All about the funny. Makes the world a safe place. Really.
Btw, any lurkers here who don’t have a sense of humour, go back to where you came from.
senor bisquitodoom, I never played a musical instrument. I did figure out in college (at seventeen) that literature and music are married with certain GOOD writers. When I worked at Wax Trax, I could tell in about five seconds flat if the song being played was by someone who was a good songwriter and could meld the two. Connelly memories abound. DRAT. I had to say that. He can take a piece of music and incorporarte lyrics with little effort. How (I think) his brain works. floors me every time.Stinkin’Scotsman…
I think it would be funny to hear Al speak spanish in the with sympathy singing voice. Fake british accent doing choppy spanish…
Late,

Reminds me of the bit in Chris Connelly’s book where he’s attempting to speak Castillian Spanish with a Scottish accent to Mexicans.
