Can you tell us plainly what Al was trying to sue paul over? I just read in that article that the case was dismissed in 2008. Is there a gag order on it or can you tell us the deets?

changed the title to more appropriately fit what transpired in this thread
“Hey, Paul, why don’t you put some eyeliner on, like this? It looks totally badass, don’t you think?”
“Dude, Al. That looks retarded. Please don’t.”
“I’m gonna sue your ass, Bitch!!!”
The judge eventually threw the case out on the grounds that it did not meet the court-defined standards for slander as Al’s choice of guyliner/manscara did, in fact, look retarded.
If I remember correctly, Al was suing Paul for slander.
ok, but what was the actual beef? “Paul said I was a dope fiend so Warner wouldn’t resign me,” or what? Would be nice to know exactly what I got kicked out of Pissarmy for asking.

Not slander, although I enjoyed the drag eyeliner surmised scenario.
Can’t honestly say why Paul got sued because I still don’t know. Not sure Al knows either. Hope this clarifies the issue, somewhat. If you know what I mean.

I thought when you get dragged to court they have to tell you why? What did your lawyer say the charge was?
Jordan H, the vocals on scarecrow are Al’s.
I always thought they were. Never knew there was a debate… I don’t think Paul sings on any psalm 69 track, does he?

Isn’t paul credited for vocals though for the album though? Could’ve sworn he is. Maybe i’m wrong though. With scarecrow it could’ve easily gone either way. Cool to know though.

Yeah but there isn’t one track where it’s specifically paul on Vox like there is with Filth and spoon.

i can’t talk about other people’s problems, I hope Al is sincere about sobriety. This time. I hope “he” actually reads this.
I don;t hold my breath.

True, it doesn’t. But it means that somewhere in that album, he did vocals. My question now, if not Scarecrow, then what did he do vocals on? It’s very vague, but he must have done something in order to get credited.
I read the court summary a while back.
Tort law covers too wide a wide variety of scenarios for us to narrow down the possibilities to just one (or a few, as may be the case here). Thus, we have no idea what was dreamed up, but we do know that there has to be evidence to prove it. None of which was provided in a timely manner. Thus, case automatically dismissed.
It may be simply what was stated in the article and have had something to do with the licensing of the music for the movie and what is depicted in the movie. Roast chicken anyone?

I just gathered he did backing vocals and there wasn’t any distinguishing between backing and lead. vocals are vocals ya know?

In a studio setting,ya never know who actually is pulling it all together soundwise, and mucking it up. Get it? Happy to talk to Erica Medinger Saturday night at Neo who did a lot of studio management stuff in Chicago at the relevant times, and she knows those band members pretty well. 'Night folks, I get up at 4:15 Am this week.
Peace.
If I remember correctly, the “fight” screaming came from “The Abyss.” I always figured Paul did that distorted backing scream in “NWO.” But I might be wrong on that.
I don’t embarrass easily, so no, I was never embarrassed to be the wife of one of the Revolting Cocks. made everything more special.
And no, I have not posted here previously. About time, for some here.
