questions for gerda

How does Paul feel about video games?

best question yet!

does Paul have copies of all of these concert posters?

or are all of these created by outside individuals/companies rather than inside promoters?

we’ve got a bunch, but concert posters are like tshirts. they’re either really good, because they’re really horrible (or really pleasing to the eye) or they’re just cookie cutter. someday, my museum will go to our chillins’.meanwhile, it gets raided quite a bit.(still looking for that joy division dish towel- a boot).

That poster is really cool. Not $400 cool. But cool, nonetheless.

I agree exactly.

Tell me something Gerda. Is Al bull shitting when he says he doesn’t remember making Dark Side Of The Spoon? How could he not remember making that masterpiece!

with an album title like that, it’s pretty much self-explanatory. heheh

all i can tell you is i heard the "roughs"and thought it was terrible.however,my perspective changed. i have never been able to do a one listen for anything. i ;ove that record.

I’ve only ever been able to one listen and love it for a couple records. ANd darkside wasn’t one of them. but I adore that album now.

It’s beautiful!!! cover art and all!

i worked in an ultimate bakery (wax trax) and learned to listen keenly. and i know immediately when something is shit. the better stuff takes time. on first listen, i don’t really like anything. …except pere ubu.or david thomas’ wandering into hellfire vocals. i’m there.

yeah it’s very rare for me to like something on the first listen as well…but i knew i was in love the first time i heard Stigmata.

really. i still have my troubles with that one. love the video, however.

The best albums always take time.

oh dear. led zeppelin and a certain ratio come to mind.

Don’t tell me we’re gonna get some Zeppelin hatred.

are you kidding? led zeppelin were my favorite band along with alice cooper, al green and the list goes on when i was in highschool. however, i have a very touching story about meeting robert plant at wax trax which somewhat cemented my ideas about celebrity. (in…my…book…)

Robert Plant at WaxTrax?! Tell me more.

as i said, “in my book”.

Can’t wait. Will it be longer than Connelly’s book?
