I don’t mean to take this so seriously, but, really, the title is a bit much. That said, my songs are close to finished and should be ready to download/FTP by the last weekend of this month.

My guess is Peligro finally decided to do some music. It’s gonna sound like Fennesz meets Burzum meets Sunn 0))) with him going on about home owner’s insurance in his silly Australian accent.

Let me stress here that I am not about censoring people’s lyrics or anything of that sort. It is just that in good conscience I cannot include a song titled that. The person/persons behind the Baboon_3 have contacted me so the issue should be pretty much resolved.
That being said I am not overall that concerned with the actual lyrical content of the songs on the compilation. As I understand it the idea behind the Baboon_3 is a farce, and should be taken as such. If people do find it offensive then there is always the skip button. This should be a fun thing people!
And I hate ultra-pc do gooding wankers as much as anyone else.
But I really don’t have time for this. It’s just the opposite extreme. And I too don’t want my name associated with it on the compilation, especially since my song is done under my name.
this might be a stupid question, but since this wont be pressed on an actual CD there isnt really a length issue with the song times is there? i mean, obviously nothing silly long (30+min) but the song i have is 8 and change… is that ok?
Chemical Meat has the final word, obviously, but I think the idea is for it to be downloadable and pressable to cd if you so desire. The artwork will be arranged so you can print it out and stick it in a jewel case.

That is the basic idea… it will be downloadable but arranged as 2 discs with full artwork so you can make you own CD’s. I will just have to brainstorm with Simon on the layout when he gets the time.
Most of all I want this to be a good experience for everyone, and the music on it so far is very diverse. I would like to keep the songs on the shorter side, but a few long ones will be fine as we do have 2 discs to work with.
I might actually be contributing a different Corrugation song, one that we’ve been re-recording this weekend. It’s called “The Diversion”, and is pretty much a hybrid of Cure/Chameleons/She Wants Revenge, as far as influences go. There’s a demo on the website, but the new version is way better. That one might be ready before Chasing Shadows, but I’ll let you know for sure, Chemical. All I know is that I’m spending way too much time recording this fucking album, I think we’re going on 1 year pretty soon! When your friends joke that Chinese Democracy came out first…not good!

The worst of all is that I was lied to for months by someone whom I thought I was really good friends with again. After countless reassurances that I was the right man for the job to be betrayed like that for a conceited scene-ster who didn’t like the cut of my jib is what hurts the most. I knew This guy
since kindergarten. I’ve accepted every “quirk” for all these years and this is what I get.
but as the sting wears off, the fact that i’m better off will set in. I’ll see what i’ve got lying around, and possibly work something up for the comp still.

Curb stomp him so his teeth fucking explode out of his face in a red mess of splintered bone, then piss on the back his bleeding head drowning out the muffled sounds of his rasping against the concrete.
Then on stage call him out and say “so and so couldn’t be here with us tonight. He didn’t make the…cut” and remove his severed head from a bag a la Medusa and drop it into the horrified teeny bop audience.
Then sell the rights to Teen Nick for an Emo-Core summer miniseries.
