Primitive Race

Gunnar, I almost want to sit you down and play you the album track by track and film your reactions.

It just keeps getting worse with each successive track.

It’s almost impressive.

That would be great, though I’d feel like the dude in Clockwork Orange being assaulted with such horror.

Wasn’t Luc Van Acker supposed to be involved in this project?

Wasn’t Luc Van Acker supposed to be involved in this project?

Seemed like they had pretty much every name in the known Industrial Universe at one point, but then they all started piping up with, “Fuck no, I ain’t working with these clowns! Get my name off that!!! Stop using my name to promote this shitshow!!!”

Now it’s like, “Hey, we got Steve Suchadik! He was a pedal salesman for Mentallo And The Fixer and he also built a sun deck for Gravity Kills in 1995.”

Gunnar told me to post here, so I will. But rather than defend anyone, I’ll just insult them instead.

So Chris Vrenna is out. He posted one of those “I’m leaving LA 'cause I hate the scene” screeds on Facebook last night. Then said he isn’t going to participate in Primitive Race.

Vrenna’s a complete basket case. Years of burning the candle at both ends, drug abuse, a bitter divorce, and a severe back injury finally caught up with him. He’s probably going to end up in a padded cell gibbering like a lunatic.

That Kniker dipshit was trying to charge people to go to a baseball game with Vrenna. I don’t know anything about him, but now it’s all even funnier if the dude is a train wreck.

Supposedly, they are recording another album. Someone sent me a link that Knicker is getting Chuck Moseley (old FNM) to “sing” on this one.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
Fuck Chuck Moseley. That washed up loser was begging online for people to make his mortgage payments or some shit. As if his total suckiness and inability to land a paying gig was now the problem of the fans.

Goddamn. It’s just one loser after another with these morons.

New name for the project . . . POVERTY RACE.

A baseball game? Uh…

I don’t know anything about him, but now it’s all even funnier if the dude is a train wreck.

To be fair, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where someone who lived with Trent Reznor for around 10 years and also worked for/spent time around Billy Corgan, Marilyn Manson, Courtney Love, and Axl Rose is not a train wreck, but…

It’s a bit of a shame because I loved the soundtrack he did for “American McGee’s Alice.” Oh well. Maybe living in Wisconsin and staying off the drugs will help him regain whatever remains of his sanity.

He does good work. I like Tweaker.

Don’t know anything about him personally though.

You really are an asshole eh? Pretty much all you got is criticism… I bet half your posts are dissing people you never met.

Sad life. You spend it on here doling out unfounded HAHAHAHAHAHAHA frat boy shit to people who might have fallen on hard times or taken the wrong turn in life.

But I guess that’s your choice. You’re ok (for now), so fuck everybody else let’s make a joke out of them.

I hope your life turns out perfect and you never find yourself out of a job or desperately needing healthcare or some other unfortunate shit that can happen to anybody.

Go well Gunnar.

if you really look at his criticisms you’d see he’s not making fun of them for being poor (that could happen to anybody) he’s making fun of them for failing to adapt to their situations, He’s making fun of them for the pathetic pan handling that they’ve reduced themselves too. He’s making fun of them for their see through sad attempts at exploitation of the few hangers on that still follow these people. and before you bring up Connelly, Connelly got shit for showing up here only with commercials. Other than deadguy nobody gave Connelly shit for having a day job.
These people don’t need Gunnar to make a joke out them, they got that handled themselves.

You really are an asshole eh?

No. Not at all. I’m fucking awesome and everyone loves me . . . . except for crybaby pissbags that have boners for washed up nobodies and barrel scrapers. They’re not too fond of me. But most everyone else . . . yeah, they fucking love me.

Pretty much all you got is criticism…

When it comes to Primitive Race, yes, all I have is criticism because their whole project has been a sorry joke from day one, plagued by embarrassment and failure.

I bet half your posts are dissing people you never met.

Maybe more than half. I don’t count.
But, most of the people I “diss” I have not met because I actively avoid meeting people I don’t like. I don’t have to meet Hitler to know he was a pretty bad guy. Not sure why I’d have to meet someone to criticize them, but . . . whatever.

Sad life. You spend it on here doling out unfounded HAHAHAHAHAHAHA frat boy shit to people who might have fallen on hard times or taken the wrong turn in life.

What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
I gotta send social services to their house first to make sure they are putting food on the table and have diapers for the kids. I don’t give a shit what someone’s social status is. I attack their actions and output (if I feel it’s warranted). If they make stupid posts about being poor or something, though, yeah, I might use that in my routine. I’m not sure what any of my posts have to do with fraternities, but . . . okay, then. Go Kappa Gamma Alpha Beta!!!

But I guess that’s your choice. You’re ok (for now), so fuck everybody else let’s make a joke out of them.

Uhhhh, no. Fuck 'em anyway. My pay stubs (or lack thereof) and bill of health do not determine whether or not I criticize someone.

I hope your life turns out perfect and you never find yourself out of a job or desperately needing healthcare or some other unfortunate shit that can happen to anybody.

Thank you. I hope so too.
Best wishes for you as well.

Go well Gunnar.

You too. Merry Christmas.

Paper.bag.masks.

Paper.bag.masks.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Seriously.
And they even fucked that up.
I don’t remember who it was and whether they posted in this thread or PM’d me directly, but people event couldn’t get these shitheads to mail them the stupid bag masks (perks for $25 donations or some shit).

All these pussies can cry all they want. The fact is that this so-called band is a complete joke. They suck at everything . . . not just making “music” (which is also shit).

I don’t give a shit if they are eating out of garbage cans or living in Manhattan penthouses. They’re just as awful either way. But if salaries are tied to output and productivity . . . well then they deserve to be poor.

They should get real respectable jobs . . . Like Connelly, picking up rabbit shit and boxing records for Martin Atkins or something.

Hey guys, Chris K from Primitive Race here. I know Gunnar doesn’t dig what we do. I’m cool with that because everyone has their own likes and dislikes. I have admitted before that my dabbling in crowd funding wasn’t the best experience for some fans or myself. There were a few people that for whatever reason didn’t get their order (due to customs issues in the shipping process with USPS). I made good with any of them and refunded the money (in some cases refunds were refused). Even better I’ve become friends with a few of those folks and many others. Based on those relationships PR has been a very rewarding experience for me.

I don’t take myself or Primitive Race too seriously. What I do care about is doing a good job in the “real world” and taking care of my family. For fun I enjoy making some songs with friends (even if some may think they’re “has beens”) and if people dig any of it that’s awesome. I’m not trying to be some rock star. I don’t have delusions of fame and fortune. This is a hobby that I’ve been fortunate enough to share with others. The intent was never to make another record but it’s happening and it’s really cool. It’s a completely different vibe this time and I am so happy to have the opportunity to share it with my mates and anyone that is interested in checking it out.

As for Chuck he’s not some washed up jerk. He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Chuck and I have been friends and in contact since 1999. He has a few records out under the name Cement or Chuck Mosley & VUA. I dig 'em…maybe you will too. For those that don’t know he did a wonderful job raising his daughter Sophie. She just graduated high school and got a scholarship to college. Back in the early 2000’s Chuck had a horrible car accident that resulted in a broken back. He couldn’t work during this time and as you can imagine the hospitalization, surgeries, and follow up treatment was quite a physical, mental, and financial hardship. Still, Chuck came through it all and is doing well. He even played a couple of shows in California last summer fronting FNM for the 30th anniversary of We Care A Lot. It was really a fund celebration of those early FNM years.

In closing, I hope all of you have a great 2017 and if you’d like to get to know me I’m always game to make a new friend (even you Gunnar).

…This is casey kasem sharing this heartfelt story of a band that I know will someday make the countdown. For that fan of primitive race, keep believing, tiger, they’ll make it someday. Now, on with the countdown!

Kniker: Good for you for putting your family first. That is noble and admirable. I truly mean that.

But . . . saying you and your mates didn’t take Primitive Race seriously, and yet you were still asking for the fans to finance it and gladly took funding from them!!!??? Fuck that! I would never give a dollar to a band that just half-assed something as “a hobby”. I don’t give my uncle money to make wind chimes and I don’t give money to a bunch of low rent bottom feeders to make an industrial jam fest.

I’d probably be your friend outside the board anyway. None of my criticism of you or your homies has anything to do with your ability, or lack thereof, to be gracious and friendly off court. You see me in a bar I guarantee you I’ll be the first to buy you a beer. But Primitive Race is still a shit show. Always has been . . . and unless you guys change your attitudes and work ethics, it always will be.

Gunnar, that’s cool of you to say. If our paths ever cross I’d be game to grab a beer. As for the shit show part…I was feeling my way through the first time around. Some of the execution was maybe a bit sloppy. Not because I didn’t care…there were just things that came up that I hadn’t planned for or considered. One could say I bit off more than I could chew in some ways. Some things didn’t come together the way I would have liked them to in many areas. In the end I learned some valuable lessons. I can assure you from my standpoint I didn’t mail it in. I made the best record I could at the time. Some of the songs I’m still very proud of. Other songs not so much. When things started to look “real” and it became apparent that record might see the light of day I experimented with crowd funding. We sold some t-shirts and yes paper bag masks (not my proudest moment) to see if it was a legitimate method to get records in people’s hands. In the end I found it to be a horrible experience for myself because if one person out of a hundred felt let down that was not acceptable. It also felt lame…like digital pan handling for change on the side of the road. Crowd funding might work for some but it’s not something I’m interested in going forward.

As for this new chapter I’m really excited about it. It’s been streamlined and I think the songs, vision, and focus are much more aligned. It’s been much more fun to work on this batch of recordings. I’ve also played it very close to the vest because you never know what might or might not happen. It just seemed like a better route to take. I know you don’t dig what we did before but if and when this new record comes out I hope you’ll check it out. It certainly isn’t industrial (but then again the first record didn’t turn out to be either). I think the songs are pretty cool and it felt much more natural.

He does good work. I like Tweaker. Don’t know anything about him personally though.

Vrenna’s ex-wife spent most of 2014 penning numerous internet articles about him. According to her, he was a drug addict who cheated on her while on tour with Marilyn Manson and lied about it.

She’s since backed off, though, probably because he didn’t seem to much care and neither did the internets at large. Maybe if his claim to fame was something more substantial than following Trent Reznor around like a little lost puppy for over ten years… Yeah, probably not even then.

Hey guys, Chris K from Primitive Race here.

So, what happened with Luc van Acker?
