Don’t be shocked, it was bound to happen. I have my guesses on how and why and it doesn’t involve Al or Ministry at all. If you followed us (i know you all secretly did, why post here then?) in the past few months you must remember the Chicken War. My guess is he’s behind it all. Not only the pa dissapeared from the interweb, it’s everything 13th Planet-related, and for what i know Rabidchicken was their webmaster. There you have it.
And yes, some members were a little too much all-encompassing and embrassing every new release like it was the next testament, but you saying that we were all ass-kissing cheerleading whores is far from reality and demagogic, as if we all said that all of you here are moronic pa bashers. Some are, but it’s only a minority.
Sicksteve has been an issue with the pa for years, don’t take him too seriously (unlike himself).
I never sold the registration to anyone else. The site registration was always under my name - in fact, just today I transferred it to Angie herself (after she left me both a not very nice voicemail and a not very nice email). I don’t want to deal with 13th Planet so I gladly signed it right over to them.
The site went down on their servers (as did their other sites which I have no domain registration control over).
But to say I sold it to someone else - baseless statement. Didn’t happen. I always had control over it and it was under my name (otherwise how would I have transferred it over to her within a couple of hours of her asking). I completely forgot I did until the PA went down and a few people from there asked me what I knew of it. A simple WHOIS on the site would’ve showed I still own it.
Notice it says “Dear Afra…”… If I had sold it, it would’ve been addressed to someone else. It was also emailed to an address on prongs.org (mine).
Anyhow it’s been under her full control since this afternoon and I have called her and emailed her notifying her so (but haven’t actually talked to her as of yet).

BTW, Afra you are a gentleman! she calls up badmouthing/bad emailing you and you still sign the site over…? What a guy! (No sarcasm) I wish I was that easy going.

Can’t support that, Steve, about the “non Cheer leading.” how many people got kicked off the board for bitching about the band, at the PA? How many people have been kicked out here for bitching about the band? I rest my case.
the only kinda of “protesting” that goes on over at the PA was pseudo watered down Walmart protesting. People, if they had an opinion the varied drastically from the heard, dare not post it unless they wanted to be banned by Yoko.

given that ministry ceased to exist since late summer 2008, there wasn’t much band business to bitch/protest about.
as for being banned for bitching, that generally didn’t occur except for intentional flaming or using non-PC lingo. Usually a prcoess existed where bann-ees went into abeyance for around two weeks and were allowed back and then monitored for terms&conditions thereafter (works like something else, too!)
posts may have been taken down about t&c, sometimes overt bitching about the band. I never saw The PA as a place to bitch about Ministry with so many interesting topics to explore. one of my Ministry bitches was that Sidetrax was first released in mono. This snafu was fixed quickly.
The Yoko-comment is unfair. They tolerated a LOT from me/even during my present purgatory period. If anything, the mods and admin deserve kudos for allowing discussion to go wherever it was headed. Some people voiced your sentiment and were still allowed to post. I think Angie is an asset to Al and hope both continue to have the best in health and happiness.
Walmart? it represents the worst in a free society. Kinda like the Chinese buying up our government’s bonds to pay for its priofligate deficit spending.
Anyway a sad demise for a place many were watching die a lingering death.

It was worth it. I had thought I did it before actually.
The only good thing that came out of my dealings with Ministry is meeting Paul, a thankful, genuine and friendly person.

Yes some of us are at a complete loss of whatever it is your babbling about Bear.
I was no webmaster on there, if i were, trust me that whole site would of been destroyed 2 years prior.
