so the last revco moved on, raymond is back with fear factory and has that side project city on fire, false icons looks done, ministry broke up, so is prong the only active artist on 13th planet, besides the al solo cd?
Well, the RevCo brand name will still exist if Al can find 3 or 4 new guys to do it. And I’m still hoping for that Ministry dance mix CD from Sin and DJ Whatshisname that was mentioned as a possibility awhile back.
But since it looks like Stayte’s self releasing their next one, yeah, I guess that’s it.
you know, i bet the response to the new revco song thread had more to do with it than anything. that thread was almost 2 pages long and the most positive review i can remember from it was “sounds like an 80’s southern rock song”. i mean, when even the place you usually get a ton of “awesome” and “can’t wait” responses thinks the new track blows, what’s the point of keeping the place up, really? It’s no longer furthering your brand, so why pay the upkeep?
While PA was overall pro-Ministry, they weren’t afraid to call a spade a spade when necessary. For exampple, they weren’t happy with that “just a bass player” nonsense either.
Ya’ know, Zeppelin haven’t been together for years and yet there are still fan boards for Zeppelin; along with countless other now defunct bands. Wonder why the Ministry one is now gone. Is Angie really that sensitive that she can’t take even a little bit of criticism against her [strike]cash cow[/strike] husband?

The PA wasn’t so much cheerleading as others would imagine. Few pissants were interested in the new reincarnation of RevCo and many openly expressed their misgivings.
afra once rightly described a difference between this place and the PA. prongs has more detailed, specific discussions of Ministry’s History, whereas the PA used to be a “state of mind” where Ministry-motivated subjects could often go into strange and bizarre realms.

JW did write some hilarious, stimulating posts, but even he wasn’t happy about some aspects. As the second- highest post-count whore, I generlly tried to make my topics about larger issues than how we feel at any given moment. Or to shake up the system.

JW is one of the coolest pissants (among many), and has the left the PA on personal moral grounds several times. Even he had problems with the new, Meuendo version of RevCo. Others had a great time seeing RevCo. To each his own, both camps have admirable traits.

Al has some quote attributed to him saying the PA is most definitely NOT a fan club full of cheerleaders. The PA was more of a face-to-face social forum-where pissants really met for concertas, going out to eat, staying as guests at other pissants’ residences, etc. That’s unlike any other chat forum I’ve been apart of.
Can’t support that, Steve, about the “non Cheer leading.” how many people got kicked off the board for bitching about the band, at the PA? How many people have been kicked out here for bitching about the band? I rest my case.
the only kinda of “protesting” that goes on over at the PA was pseudo watered down Walmart protesting. People, if they had an opinion the varied drastically from the heard, dare not post it unless they wanted to be banned by Yoko.
