Just a quick update to let you all know what has (and hasn’t) been happening at WAX TRAX! central here in Chicago.

PAUL BARKER & CHRIS CONNELLY

As some of you may know, our long time friends, Chris Connelly and Paul Barker will be performing a set of Ministry side project tracks for three dates starting next weekend during the Cold Waves Festival here in Chicago.

Well…We are very excited to tell you that in addition to CW, you will be able to see their set live for FREE as WAX TRAX! streams an exclusive performance on our CHANNEL 66 show through Twitch this upcoming Thursday, September 23.

Our monthly show is Produced by VANS and starts at 4p PT / 6p CT / 7p ET. In addition to Chris and Paul’s special set, the show will be hosted by Mike, Herb and myself as well as Chicago’s one and only DJ Bud Sweet before the performance.

This set has never been played live before, and may never be played again! What Ministry side projects will Chris & Paul be playing?…Well you’ll just have to tune in and see what they dazzle us with.

As always, no need for a ticket, Always free - Always fun!

Correct me if I’m reading things wrong but it seems it’s just the online video transmission that’s “free”. To actually attend the show you need to have a ticket for the Coldwaves Festival.

Yes, online is free. I think this is something outside of Cold Waves. This is on Thursday 9/23. ColdWaves starts on Friday.

Cool. This should be interesting.

The Book Club is back,baby!!!

I got this email earlier today.

Saw this…very cool.

This is going to start in a bit. I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that they do “No name, no slogan”. Let me change that - they BETTER play “no name no slogan”.

Anybody catch this?

I’m watching it. Chris and Paul haven’t started.

Julia Nash and some other guys did some chatting, told some stories, played a few videos. Now we’re watching DJ Bud Sweet.

Ok, thought they were playing at 4 PST, so I bailed when they didn’t.

What a fun set! I thought it was great. If you are going to see these guy at cold waves you’ll have fun.

REVCO - Rockabye
REVCO - Sergio
REVCO - At the Top
PTP - My Favorite Things
PTP - Rubber Glove Seduction

I thought it was a great show. Great fuckin songs, man!

I thought it was good too.

I saved it for archival purposes

I missed the first two cuts but caught the rest and thought it was total garbage. Two guys who forgot to bring a personality or a pulse to a low rent karaoke room.

Holy crap! That was so boring and uninspired.

Thanks for that, I totally forgot (and was too busy to watch live anyway).

Thank you for this!

That was awesome. Great to hear these tunes played live for the first time.

I’ll watch later and I’m stoked to see PTP live, but they really picked some of my least favorite of the Revco tracks from that era to perform.

Did anyone catch them at Cold Waves?
