Ministry 88-99 rules though. But they sure as hell weren’t no Godflesh…although they did create Eureka Pile & Nursing Home…but that didn’t come close to Gift From Heaven, Hunter and Time Death & Wastefulness. Lard was Ministry’s best music anyway.

I can’t stomach it. I listened to it 1/2 a dozen times and then shelved it about 8 years ago and haven’t listened to it since. I guess I could dust it off and give it a go but I doubt my opinion would change much

hmmm i guess you can just read or have already read what i posted on PA for my opinion on g.f. like i said i caught ‘crush my soul’ way back in the 90’s and i think it’s okay i just find it hilarious when you say there is no comparison as far as godflesh to ministry ,really? 88-89 okay at least you respect those years and just aren’t someone wishing for with sympathy, but come on pslam 69 (yeah,i chose the obvious one)compared to ANY godflesh record i’d go for one of my personal fav’s darkspoon anyday over ANYthing godflesh has ever done i find more excitment in a mazzy starr song there is just no climax for me in g.f. like take the song that was in the video posted here (with j.c.superstar) when that song started i was actually excited it ,had slide and a few other elements you don’t hear very often with them seems like it might go somewhere as a song but again nothin’[sly] ministry proved that you could actually start a great grove through repetition but in godflesh case it just a really boring riff with really boring drums played over and ovr again if any song was influenced by godflesh it was ‘paisley’, now you would think i would hate this song but it has a trance-likeness to it that’s great what i find boring about godflesh is just about all there records, the entire record, sound like this one fucking angle=boring to me i even bought a double album by godflesh once (selfless/some other piece of shit) in hopes that at least selfless would have some energy or some variety to it cos’ of ‘crush my soul’ no sorry[:/] so i ended up with two pieces of shit with like three good songs between two full albums (i found it in a cd re-sale shop by the way , my friend who worked there told me that it had been bought and returned four times so i’m not alone in thinking g.f. SUCKS)

Im probably gonna get flamed for saying this considering we got some pretty big Godflesh fans here but, Ministry’s Land Of Rape And Honey completly prison rapes anything Godflesh has ever done. Dont get me wrong i like Godflesh to, im just saying, no contest.
