Yeah, Al J. once called DM ‘Ministry’s evil twin’. Hell, Ministry played a couple of shows w/them back in the early days. I heard that most of those mixes are unofficial (unless the real single got leaked - last I checked on Pirate Bay, people claimed to have the CDS, but the mixes were homemade). The song itself is pretty cool, sort-of harkens back to A Broken Frame. From the info I’ve read, the rest of the album sounds nothing like Precious.
Ministry played with Mode in late '82 - it is indeed on the Tour page.

i grabbed the promo cds off usenet last week. it should be on piratebay soon if it isn’t already. i’ve stay away from bittorrent now after 3 people i know have gotten letters from their isp’s because of complaints from either the riaa or mpaa. but back on topic here’s a rundown of the mixes: http://www.depeche-mode.com/forum/index.php?topic=14622.0
warnings telling them to stop hosting copyrighted music/movies along with the filenames, time/dates, and ips the transfers were coming from. no legal action, just nasty warnings.

i too have heard about people getting letters from their ISPs. Except i have heard it happening when downloading “backed up software”. Mainly it was happening on an ISO of XP pro 64-bit. and at first i didn’t believe it (although i didn’t download the ISO myself), but now that i have heard about this happening from sources that in-no-way have any relations - i am a believer now.
