My friend heard an interview with Gahan on the local radio station here one morning or something. They were giving away tickets and she called in. She won and asked me to go with her. Otherwise, I was reluctant to go. They were going for $60+ or something.
Yeah, ‘cheap’ seats are $44.50 before Ticketbastard charges. I’m taking my girlfriend, so I’m in for an easy $100. I swear, concerts are freaking luxury items now.
I saw a couple of torrents for the new album, but apparently they’re both ripped at 96 kbps, and re-encoded to 192! A lot of people are bitching about the sound quality. I might just wait two more weeks for the official release.

quality sounds fine to me.
i grabbed my copy off of usenet. it is 192kbps but sounds fine to me. id say the album is way better than exciter, but i’m already finding myself skipping half the tracks when i listen to it in my car.
