last dubber comes out in sept.

when did ministry become the new kiss? except instead of farewell tours we get farewell cds…

Didn’t Clayton complete this remixes like a year ago?

yeah… sept/oct 2009 is kinda late for a remix album if the original was released in 2007.

It’s never to late for Al to make another grab for cash in the name of “Ministry” !!!

Scheduled for later in '09: Al plans to sell tins of his own excrement. Its a performance art stunt called ‘It’s Al Shit’. Unbeknownst to the buyers, the tins are sealed with design to explode sometime in the near future.

Finally, another version of The Dick Song.

1002

They DID say there would be a remix album, so i’m not surprised by this at all. A little too late, but whatever, it’ll leak onto the web very early i’m sure. I can’t hold this against Al this time though since he really did mention a few times that there would be a remix album companion with every album. So in two years, we’ll probably get the remix album for Sex-O Olympic-O, and we’ll probably see that OTHER album they supposedly have done as well before. They have no idea what they’re doing.

Ministry is done, but it’s a zombie now. We’ll probably see a lot more ministry in the next few years than you expect. Granted, it might not be actual NEW material, but Al’s not done milking that name for every cent it’s worth.

And if that fails, then we’ll see a ministry reunion with Al and a bunch of other no names, and so on… He’s going to completely pull a Robert Smith on this one…I just swear it. RS claimed Bloodflowers was the last, and four years later…well…

At least Bloodflowers was good [:P]

Jourgensen is putting out more crap than Tupac Shakur these days.

Just something else I won’t buy.

Yeah, Bloodflowers was pretty epic. But there’s two differences between Jourgensen and Tupac; 1) One’s no longer amongst the living and 2) the one no long living still sells a shit-ton more albums than the somehow still living. One would be rich, while the other would release shitty, generic metal albums to attract teenagers, and establish a sheep-like group of fanatics who’ll endorse anything and everything they do…All “800” of them…

Beginning to suspect some foul play with that 800 sold one also. I wonder if certain “fans of the one still living” bought more than one perhaps…

At least Bloodflowers was good

Hands down the worst Cure album in their entire back catalogue. Which is really saying something when you look at their post-Wish ‘creative’ (?) output.

Fat Bob is as washed up as Al.

Also, I don’t know why people are surprised Al continues to milk the Ministry machine rather than, say, put out a Buck Satan album or something.

The guy is spent and no amount of spindoctoring on his behalf can cover that up.

honestly it wouldn’t surprise me to see him try and find a way to put out “deluxe” editions of all the old cds that seems to be all the rage these days (the year alone we got what, beastie boys, pearl jam and radiohead this week alone, upcoming ones from beck, etc.)

I’d really like for him to finally re-release some of the older albums with remastered sound. That would actually be a good way of milking the Ministry name instead of subpar live and remix albums.

Amen to that!

Although, you do realise that if he did that he’d have to share some of the profits with Paul etc - and as we all know, Al ain’t too comfortable with the idea of sharing.

in a couple of years i changed my mind about the “remastered” ministry releases. if they would be even released, they would be brickwalled as any recent album.

i’d love to see some sort of comilation of early and other unreleased stuff instead.

If I was Al I’d milk the Ministry machine. I mean, why not? Guy’s gotta eat.
Besides, it’s not like he’s Martin Atkins, who I think is literally selling every alternate Pigface take in his possession. Seriously, what the hell’s going on with this guy?

I’ll admit it it’s a pretty blatant cash grab to put that much shit up for sale, but at the same time, if I was still a big Pigface fan that would be like manna from heaven. Think about your favorite band tossing up everything they’ve ever recorded. It would be swell.

Yeah, I guess. But with that quantity it really seems like a cynical cash grab. I mean, Chris Connelly’s been doing something similar for free. And he works at a record store and could probably use the cash.

I agree with you on that. It’s even better when artists dump that stuff out for free. Especially since after listening to some of those clips (like the alternate takes on stuff from Fook or Notes From Thee Underground), the alternate takes sound shockingly similar to the final take anyway.

I’d really like for him to finally re-release some of the older albums with remastered sound.

Oh god no. While that would’ve been great years ago, I can’t trust that…Ryko’s remasters are awful in the case of the RevCo reissues, treble’s all the way up and it’s like a loudness war…

Al shouldn’t remaster it at least…

I’m looking forward to the remix album. Maybe the new mixes will update all the songs to not be about Bush any more. [:)]

Does Pigface have any fans left?

I think if you go to the Invisible forum the register members are Tumbleweed, Crickets Chirping, and Awkward Silence.
