Nursing Home

Thank you Gunnar.
That was very eloquent.
Finally someone understands my brilliance.

my brilliance.

see… ive got to lose respect for you there.

while i defend that what you do is art, and that it has enough of a groove to be listenable… that statement is really stupid.

what you were doing (if what gunn said was correct) ISNT brilliant. it is HEAVILY tread ground. people have been making the same points with (in my opinion) better art for decades, even more than that, close to centuries.

see, you could have just been a fairly skilled artist of whom i had no real opinion, but now i think you are a pompous jack-wagon.

^ Oi, c’mon mate. I don’t think Void’s being serious!

Yeah I don’t think so either.

Regarding bodily fluid on vinyl, I can’t for the life of me find out more info about the shit-smeared vinyl cover(s), anywhere, it was like around 2006 when I saw it. It wasn’t Coil, it was an associate, like Thighpaulsandra or similar.

But I do want this:

Jesus, I hope your kidding!!!
especially after you ripped into some of us for not picking up on your “sarcasm”…

You’d be a fool to think that Gunnar was even half serious…

His “critique” sounds like some drivel that would earn some half wit an A in some crappy Art History class. (An A for saying something flowery not because the student or the prof believed it!)

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be smarter than this Void. I know you’re really trying your hardest to prove to us that you are a tard (boy it was really hard not to spell that with the letter u) but just have a little common sense on this one! Please… as a favor to me!?

Chill out, Grumpy. You think his art is crap, so be it. Regardless of the piece’s technical merit or lack thereof it doesn’t mean there wasn’t still a motive and meaning behind it.

I don’t know why so many people have a hard time here with Void. On a Ministry forum, of all places, where people would typically praise and reward those that challenge norms and push boundaries, instead they seem downright angry about it.

Void never offered up the interpretation I gave. It’s just how I perceived the piece and what it seemed he was going for. I don’t know if I was right or wrong about most or all of it, but I don’t think most artists need to really hand out answer sheets with their pieces.

I think artists like when people are able to come up with their own conclusions and interpretations. Or maybe he just wants to eat crap, I don’t know. It does seem that people are a little hung up on the dude, though.

Forget these haters, Void! You do your thing, Homie. Don’t be discouraged by people that crap (doh!) on your work but don’t even create anything of their own to put up for public scrutiny.

^
Cool.

I like the middle one the best. The colors and makeup, and even the packing tape play well off each other and your face looks downright demented.

I would have preferred it without the cross symbol thing though. I think that distracts from what is actually a really cool composition (I’m speaking merely from the “technical” art side this time and not attempting any sort of interpretation, though).

This thread in summation:

Everyone can be an artist… and everyone’s a critic.

Doesn’t always mean they’re gonna be decent ones, though.

Void, keep on truckin’. We approve.

This great pic just surfaced of the live 6 piece Nursing Home Band pictured together after our last show @ Trexx nightclub in Syracuse, NY.

The live band broke up after I graduated and it has been a studio project with a few revolving core members ever since.

New song “City on a Hill” is now up online at:

myspace.com/nursinghomeband

This song was recorded for the most part on New Years day 2010 in the midst of a fucked up bender in which I destroyed everything in my apartment.

There is a music video for it that has been in production for some time, but BLACKBOMBS business is taking priority.

Why is this detail important? Are you already making excuses for it?

I hope there weren’t any underaged groupies in that apartment. I don’t want them getting destroyed.

Like the new track. Like the pics as well. The escaped convict-from-mental-insitution-is-also-a-duct-tape-lover is going to give me nightmares for weeks. Is that really you? The demented electrocutionist vampire look is bangin’ as well. Hot damn you’re versatile.

The duct tape one is my favorite too.

Thanks doods. I am working on getting my FIX entry online in its proper form finally today. I will post a link here and in the FIX thread.

As stated in the other thread about the FIX contest entries, our song “FIX” is now online at:
