It’s been almost 20 years since watching either. I remember liking the sequel okay. The original is really cool. I really liked those 70’s and early 80’s tripped out horror flicks that were really surreal and seemed kind of like a bad drug trip.
I remember doing watching all of the Phantasms over a weekend with an old roommate. We thought the first one was awesome, and the second one was sort of crappy. Then we thought the third movie was basically as bad as a movie can be. And four was worse. And five was worse than that. An amazing downward slide.
Wow there were 5 of those? I remember really hating the 3rd one…never knew they kept em going…
@Gunnar-I love the bad acid trip feel of those late 70s/early 80’s horror/sci-fi flicks also…always been a fan of that period of cinema…

Yeah, DTV, Baby!!! I only saw the first 3 also. I only found out about the rest of them a couple months ago. Sometimes I like to make myself dizzy and ask myself questions like, “How many Puppet Master [or “Leprechaun”, or “Hellraiser”, etc.] movies were there, anyway?” and then I am torn between wanting to make myself throw up, but also kind of wanting to buy the box set.

NICE!!!
I remember being tempted by the Puppetmaster box set, because it was a limited thing and I’d never seen any of the films. It’d be an easy way to see all of them at my leisure, and I’m a big fan of horror franchises. But then I actually saw the first Puppetmaster on Netflix, and decided I couldn’t waste any more time with them. Ugh. It can be fun watching through every shitty Halloween movie, or even House or Leprechaun. But Puppetmaster was just awful.
TROLL 2!!!
I wagered a guess that there were 8 total Puppet Master films. I was wrong. Y’all can click on the link and see if I was over or under . . .
