Hi, Everyone! I’m not sure if I’ve ever introduced myself, but my name is Gunnar. Here’s something you might not know about me . . . I’m not Australian.
There’s actually several great things in the world that are not Australian and I thought it would be a great idea to give recognition to them.
Dr. Pepper
Mr. T
Chrysler
Metallica
Dockers
Anyway, that’s just a few that I can think of, but I know there are more. Let’s just see if we can celebrate some things and/ or people for their non-Australianness, shall we?
Crocodile Dundee
Shrimps on barbees
Yahoo Serious
Casual racism
That one industrial band. . .Severed Heads?
Koalas
Crocodile Dundee
That Gladiator guy’s band

Whoooaaa!!! Easy there, Fellas! I’m not trying to get your shrimps on a Barbie or anything. I’m just saying that there are also some nice things that are NOT Australian and we should give them a notice too. Here’s a few more . . .

Keanu Reeves
Not to cause an international ruckus here, but isn’t he Canadian? [crazy]
You gents didn’t specify that the “non-Australian” items had to be specifically from the U.S., or for any historical era, so…lemme see if I can think of just a few items not of specifically Australian origin:
LSD-25
pulsars
the Golden Horde (not a musical group)
Aurora borealis
Phineas Gage
mag-lev trains
And last but not least, the amazing thylacine or “Tasmanian wolf”, which technically WAS Australian, but is now extinct.
While it is very true that the U.S. has given us many great things which are NOT Australian, this thread is not a celebration of America or things American. It is to recognize great stuff and people which are NOT Australian. I certainly don’t want this to be discriminatory or anything, so, yes, please share and celebrate NON-Australian stuff from all regions.
Here are a few things which are NOT Australian that hail from other regions . . .
We are not interested in Australian stuff here, Jay. You can talk about that stuff on the rest of the internet. Can we please try to show some appreciation for things that are not Australian. There are more countries in the world besides Australia, you know?
The Space Shuttle (all of them, really)
Now and Laters
Jupiter
Pizza
