I’m already going to catch Ministry/Melvins/CoC, but this is tempting. I wonder if Al might dive deep with a slot between 2 industrial legends. If I thought he would get into some Twitch and/or LORAH era songs, I would buy tix and flight right now.
I wish this was anywhere besides The Mistake by the Lake…
The post on facebook, via the ministry page, just blew up. 2.2K comments and 4.5Km shares 12 hours in. None of ministry’s other posts even come close. I’m not so sure it’s the NIN fans so much as it is the fans of his more industrial works. I might be wrong, I just thought it was interesting.
There’s always a chance for Supernaut with Trent on vocals.
I went to Riotfest in 2017 hoping for the same thing… and got disappointed. Trent couldn’t even be bothered to play Dead Souls with New Order. Or do a few songs with Saul Williams, whoms Niggy Tardust album he produced.
I managed to score a lawn ticket for this. I’ll also be (hopefully) seeing Ministry in April as well as in June at Hellfest in France (another Supernaut opportunity, or even better, SMOTHERED HOPE since SP is on the bill too (whole reason I’m going.))
That’s true…if it were ever to happen, a one-off gig like this would be the perfect time…that being said,I won’t hold my breath…
Just bought tix to this…this is what it took to get me to Cleveland…
Nice…enjoy bro!
Thanks, revco…I feel like at one point we had someone from Cleveland on prongs but can’t remember who…hmmm
I used to live in Cleveland. . .23 years ago.
Ever go to a gig at this place?
Yeah, it sucks. Says Cleveland, but it’s out in the sticks. Parking is shitty. If you bought lawn tickets, bring binoculars. Good luck.
No I bought tix inside the pavilion…wouldn’t have gone if I could only get lawn tix…I’ll take an Uber out there so not worried about parking…
Have to pick up my comps at willcall, usually in the 1st three rows…shall see.
Cleaveland…outta be a hoot.
I just talked to some dude who has been there and says it is good as long as you are in the pavilion but said the lawn sucks to echo you…saw a pic of the place…looks like Jonestown…
Please tell me Kool-Aid is a sponsor.
(Or Flav-R-Aid, for you purists.)
Haha grape flavor aid, to be exact…
This might be a reunion of bands that once opened for Depeche Mode. Ministry (1982) and Nitzer Ebb (1990) have. Not so sure about NIN. Although, I recall reading a post from Trent Reznor in the last few years about how he attended a DM show in Cleveland in 1986 during their Black Celebration tour, and it had a significant influence on him.
Apologies for the late reply but I’m local to the Cleveland area. Looks like you’ve gotten an idea of Blossom’s layout, but let me know if you want info about the area.
