Malwarebytes ftw.
I don’t have anti-virus software on my computer because it makes it sub-performant. I simply stay away from places where viruses live.
I’ve thought of this, too. I generally visit 6 pages on a regular basis so their really isn’t a need for an anti-virus but occasionally I need something out of the norm like a PDF converter or that freecorder thing and the hunt that I end up taking ends up leading me to pages that are shady so I’m glad I have it.

Absolutely, even the free trial version will let you scan your computer for the bad stuff after it expires, although it does keep telling me the database is out of date or whatever. Still, worth a free download, i will buy it when i get another job. It’s great.
[reply]Anyway, once I finally got Norton completely off of my PC (which was a fucking chore in itself) everything cleared up and I never had a problem with that PC after.
It would seem that you still have a problem with that type of shit considering you’ve been banned for reasons unknown from the manson board and had a ton of posts put under your name here.
either way, until I have a problem that norton can’t solve I’ll stick with it. I’ve heard NOD is really good though, but I’ll research a bunch before if I ever have to make the switch.

I’m trying to help you out, dude. The IP from the posts made that I was not aware of were made from one of the IPs I actually use. I know who/what happened and it’s been taken care of. It was not related to a “virus”.
Norton isn’t solving any of your problems. That’s the point. It’s causing them and then “solving” them. To put it bluntly: it’s a fucking scam. There are free anti-virus software online that are far superior to that shady Norton bloated, bullfuck.

I appreciate your concern but I really don’t have any problems with norton. My “virus Post” has since been taken care of and was easily done so by deactivating an extension in chrome. Glad you got to the bottom of your other shit.

Don’t you fucking dare respond to me rationally, motherfucker.
It’s blood or nothing.

Meh, can’t continue busting a dude’s balls too much if he can bond over Reservoir Dogs.
Besides I’m in a good mood. I got a new job with what will likely be a 10-15k raise, so I’m easy going right now.
you never know how long it will last take what you get.

Well damn.
I don’t count the Lost Highway soundtrack as a true-blue collaboration in a meeting of minds sense. From what I remember Trent was given carte blanche with selecting different artists, Angelo Badalamenti’s score selections and Lynch’s Rammstein fetish not withstanding. “The Perfect Drug” is barely featured in the film and the crossover between Reznor’s input and what Lynch commissioned himself seems minimal.
Ofcourse the last time the NIN fan collective got this hard for a visual collaboration we ended up with a glorified Apple™ commercial (“Only”, dir: David Fincher). We’ll see. I’m very optimistic.
Is Trent wearing lipstick in that pic with Lynch?
Looking forward to it even if the song’s “newness” wore off quick.

Yeah, I wouldn’t consider that soundtrack an actual collaboration either.
As for the “Only” video, it was supposed to look like an Apple commercial or an advertisement. It was clear that it was in a way mocking the way music is consumed now days (especially during 2004ish when itunes and pirating were a bit more fresh) and also used to sell products. There was a lot of discussion about it when it came out and it seemed pretty obvious to most people that it’s tongue and cheek.
Here’s some of what he said about it at the time: “I feel lucky that I can do this but I constantly have to remind myself what the goal is. Should I say yes to that Microsoft commercial because I could use a new house? Or do I say no because this is something precious that would be tarnished if I did that? I find myself saying this to record labels and business manager guys, and they’re like, ‘You won’t do what because of what?’ My feelings were hurt when I heard David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ on a fucking Microsoft commercial. It’s like ‘Why? Fuck!’”
I was under the impression Trent was done making videos after seeing Discipline.
The Discipline video was a joke by someone on the NIN equivalent to Prongs, but Trent liked it and it became the semi-official video.
The details for the new album have just been leaked! With guest musicians from Fleetwood Mac, The Who and King Crimson. I already knew Adrian Belew was a part of it, but the others are a welcome surprise!

yea, a guy called Meathead was making fun of NIN as far back as even before The Fragile, he had whole website of fun stuff. maybe it’s still there. he made that “video”.
Lindsay Buckingham??[:/]
Lindsay Buckingham??[unsure]
Dude, he’s an awesome guitarist. Not sure how the two met but it could be interesting…of course it could suck too.
I wonder if “I Would For You” is a cover of that old ass Jane’s Addiction song. That would be kinda cool, I always liked that one.

Yeah, it’s very odd. Lindsay does some wired shit with all of his solo work so hopefully Trent will capture some of it. Love his solo stuff.
my take on how they met: Dave Grohl did the Sound City documentary this year, and both Lindsey and Trent were in it.
