On Danzig:

"On rumored fight between the DEF LEPPARD and DANZIG camps at a European festival back in 1993:

“He [Danzig] made a rude comment to my wife, and somebody, not me, gave him a bit of a kick from behind, and I guess he was mad about his soup getting spilt. It must’ve been really good soup for him to get that upset, but it was Germany, so the soup probably couldn’t have been that good; it was probably really, really dark, with all sorts of nasty stuff in it. Anyway, Phil Collen (Vivian’s fellow DEF LEP guitarist) was ready to go — he’s a black belt in karate, but Danzig backed down. It really was over nothing, other than that bowl of soup.”"

Maybe it was that French Onion soup that stops him from getting the Death Bug…

I love any story about Danzig that involves the mundane.
It just becomes amazing and hilarious by default anytime Danzig is doing ANYTHING that a regular human being might do.

Eats cake. Spills soup. Buys cat litter. Cleans his yard.

It’s amazing.

If there was a cable channel that gave me a Danzig reality show that just showed him doing stuff that normal people did, I would pay $600 a month for it and watch it 24-7.

Danzig writes a check.
Danzig builds an Ikea shelf.
Danzig eats a hamburger.
Danzig buys socks.

Is there any Danzig does X scenario that doesn’t work?
Well, is there?

No sir, there is not. He straddles the realms of coolness and absolute hilarity like some tiny colossus.

You guys are funny.

Danzig chooses a shampoo.
Danzig orders a pizza.
Danzig looks at a fish.
Danzig uses a crosswalk.

Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for Dio as a person. He’s definitely someone I would’ve liked to have met, but that Heaven & Hell was an hour long (maybe more) and it felt like it went on twice as long. Dio just had really long introductions to each song, explaining the story behind nearly all of them and gloated about how great each album he did with Sabbath was. On a side note, Vinny Appice’s drum solo was complete and utter crap.

I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a Heaven and Hell song (the band, of course, not the Sabbath album which totally RULES).

Heaven And Hell album certainly does rule.

The Mob Rules was their masterpiece with Dio.

On a side note, Vinny Appice’s drum solo was complete and utter crap.

Haha, paradoxically, the drum solo by Tommy Clufetos at the Black Sabbath show was a work of wonder.

Heaven And Hell album certainly does rule.

This…

Listening now…not very good. [:(]

Tunes that caught my ear:

Cold Blooded
Crossfire

After the first two sample tracks were released I’d already given up on this release. I’ll probably go see them in November, but I’m not interested in picking up the album when I could use that money to replace missing CD’s I need for “Sad Wings of Destiny” and “Killing Machine”.

I never did get this new album, but I did see them live in October and they were excellent.

Anyway, anyone looking for a way to get up to speed really fast on the Priest catalog (minus that Ripper-era garbage) . . . .
