was flipping through channels last night and saw her acting on that new terminator series on fox which surprised me. since when did she act? only ever heard the radio songs and thought queer and happy when it rains were alright. although i have no idea why everyone used to think she was so hot.

Dig me some Shirley Manson. She can go from strange, smooth, sultry and then turn around and serve up nasty, dirty, riot grrl vox with equal aplomb.
Like some Garbage tracks. Vow probably being my fave. Only Happy When it Rains is a decent pop song too.
I think you can obtain their greatest hits package at Best Buy for 9.99. Good deal. Includes their soundtrack work ( James Bond track + Romeo & Juliet ) plus all their singles.
Apparently she’s having trouble getting her solo album released. Seems the studio thinks she should be a half-naked pop-starlet, when she wants to make an adult album, seeing as how she’s in her 40s now.
I saw Shirley as a stage/theatre actor back in 1984, she has always been one of my favourite actresses, apart from being one of my oldest friends, her contribution to my album is really, really stunning, check it out
Wasn’t aware of the solo album or the ( gasp ) Terminator series appearance. Call me faithless - but that show doesn’t seem to be brimming with promise.
The attempt to carry this franchise further strikes me a bit flat and unfocused.
Guess I’m more of a Terminator ( 1984 ) fan, I suppose.
Saw about 2 or 3 episodes of the first series and well it wasn’t horrible but at the same rate it aint special by any means. Nothing will be able to touch the original film, not even Christy Bale as the saviour of mankind Mr Connor.
Chris, i’ll be hitting chicago this weekend for a couple shows and will stop by the reckless stores as i always do. u guys have the record there yet?
