for those that are interested: I sing lead vocals on one of the sides of the new NACHTMYSTIUM 7" that comes out on century media on the 15th of may…
Cool!
I’ll pick this up.
Nice work on the Barker tracks that came with Fix.
And a random question: Artificial Madness on vinyl any time?
YES “artificial madness” out on vinyl later this summer on the magnificent BLOODLUST label!
I don’t like what I’ve heard from Nachtmystium but I’ll check this out. Is it a heavy track or will I just have to be surprised?
Great work on the fix tracks. Any chance of getting more material from you and Barker?

Awesome!
I don’t know what Nachtmystium sounds like, but if it’s not black metal it should be.

LULZ!
Well I’m sure when your version leaks onto youtube I’ll look up the original before I listen to yours. But thanx anyway for sending me on an assignment to look up a band I don’t know very well.

It’s totally for your own good. Track down Unknown Pleasures or even that Permanent compilation that came out in the mid-90s. If they dont amaze you then you don’t deserve Joy Division.
So far they haven’t amazed me but I like what I’ve heard. I almost prefer their version of Dead Souls to NIN’s. Mainly because of the fact that it has more build up. I’d say I like both equally. Of course I know Love Will Tear Us Apart and that one had to grow on me. Ithink they had another song called Heart & Soul that I enjoyed and then there’s one other song I liked a lot but can’t remember the name. I know about Ian Curtis killing himself over his epilepsy. Didn’t the remaining members turn into New Order? Kinda sad based off of what I’ve heard from that band.
Watch “Control” and “24 Hour Party People” for a couple of entertaining primers on the history of Joy Division.
Dead Souls is a bad place to start. It’s a good song but it’s not a good intro point. Try any of the following: Love Will Tear Us Apart, Atmosphere, The Atrocity Exhibition, Shadowplay, Heart And Soul, 24 Hours, Passover. Hard to narrow it down, but those would be some good intros. The first New Order album kind of continues the same feel.

Just get Closer and UnknownPleasures and dive in…both from start to finish…
yeah-they made 2 albums, that’s it, you should just listen to these, there’s other stuff out there, but the albums are a complete overview
