I only have fleeting memories of a few scenes/characters. But yeah, I do kind of remember a scheduling thing too, haha. “3 o’ clock. You’re gonna get raped!” or something. I was actually planning to order the movie because I remembered it being a dark comedy, but when I glanced at the reviews on YouTube, it seems no one else thought it was funny so . . . . maybe I’m just an asshole or perhaps it just doesn’t sit well with people in 2021. I meant to check out “Happiness” but never got around to it.
Oof. consider yourself lucky. I don’t remember anything about that movie other than there wasn’t one redeeming quality from it and it was so dark and sad that I literally felt depressed and sad after it was over. That and the dog licking the kids hand at the end. ugh, just deflated and exhausted.
Another fucked up film was “spanking the money” Where this kid ends up knowingly and willingly fucking his mom. That was dark as shit too.

When this started I thought well let’s wait for the trial but you know what, it’s probably true. But as more information emerges from Manson’s defence about the way the accusers have behaved, you realise how suspicious it is.
It seems to centre on Evan Wood’s new girlfriend Illma Gore, who has a history of fraud-related offending, and is a professional anti-abuse activist. She even told her family she intended to make a living by setting up an anti-abuse charity. Then lo and behold, after dating a fraudster making a living off abuse, Wood suddenly claims Manson abused her over a decade before, and now she’s starring in a “documentary” about her abuse, made by her girlfriend’s charity!
They impersonated an FBI agent, sent out scripts with checklists and leading questions to Manson’s exes, to elicit claims of abuse. This didn’t happen coincidentally, Wood and Gore contacted these women. Dita von Teese and Rose McGowan, Manson’s most independently-famous exes, have both denied he abused them.
A judge has compared Evan Woods claims of recovered memories to alien abduction. She is arguing that the statute of limitations shouldn’t apply to her because she forgot about the abuse for a decade, and only remembered through therapy.

If you want to do a deep dive on all the Manson drama this is a really amazing YouTube who is interviewing ex girlfriends etc. I was shocked because she really went in deep and debunks so much including the stuff in his book which apparently a lot was distorted for shock value. This includes throwing the perfume bottle at his mom, the infamous “Groupie” torture film, the peeing on the deaf girl, etc. I actually thought he was more of a creep (but still not to the extent they were making him to be) and now I think the accusing actresses are even more full of shit after watching all these videos.

Dude hasn’t put out anything decent in almost 25 years and his offerings, whether musical or socially, are a drain on anyone in the vicinity. Um 25 years? That’s absolute horse shit. Pale Emperor and Heaven Upside Down are good albums throughout. Great even. But even at his roughest points he put out good music. High End of Low is a record that’s grown on me a lot now that I understand some midlife crisis shit.
…And the dude is now 3 years sober and lost like 70 Lbs and looks amazing so he’s going to be kicking ass (not that he ever stopped, but he did get pickled and was rough live off and on for a long stretch…)

3 years sober? really? because His output had been so bad and his appearances had been so cringe (see his time on “the talking dead”) I actively stopped paying attention to him, so not my fault my opinion of him may be out of date. but my opinion holds weight with me, and that’s all that matters.
3 years sober… I hope that’s true and he’s gotten his shit together. maybe his new albums will follow.
