Chris didn’t have a lot to do with LoRaH, right? Just some backing vocals? Probably not really worth mentioning.
Ahhhhh…I understand…as for Peligro…I laughed, I always wanted to ask D*n Henley out of the eagles why, after a long career spanning decades, every record he ever made sucks donkey dick…I think you called my bluff!! nya ha ha ha!!!
sniff… NOBODY talks that way about Don Henley!!!
runs away crying
[:)]
By the way, Mr. Connelly, I picked up the complete Murder Inc. awhile back… and I must say that’s some of the most entertaining stuff you’ve ever laid to tape.
“We’re here to fuck you over.”
LOVE IT.
Have yet to read the book… but I will, goddamn it. I WILL.

I’m gonna have to defend Don Henley only for “The Boys Of Summer” and a couple of tunes off End of The Innocence…otherwise, you’re probably on to something. After all, Mojo Nixon was compelled enough to compose his own anti-Henley tribute.
1002
‘boys of summer’ was written by Mike Campbell (from the Heartbreakers), apparently he pitched it to Tom, who turned it down.
I contributed backing vocals to 2 somgs on “rape” so much of that record was in the works before I ever met Al, Paul & Bill…
Don Henley is still bollocks, btw
so which songs have your backing vox, chris?
the missing & deity
cool!
the missing & deity
Wow, I was way off. I had a feeling about The Missing, but not Deity. Have to put on LORAH now!
Word up. Thanks, Chris!
thanks Chris for the info.
You know, Henley’s mid '80s stuff is very electronic when you really listen to it. I bet you it could be remixed it into something approaching cool.
don’t be silly,
I am still looking forward to reading this book, but have not yet picked up a copy. Back in October I was in Chicago and stopped by Restless to do some shopping and see if it had come out yet. Chris seemed pretty preoccupied that day, so I didn’t bother him with a plethora of questions. I didn’t realize until I got home the next day that the news of Paul Raven’s passing had just hit [:(]
awesome though i alway’s figured that was you doing the lead on “i prefer” and “you know…” are your wax trax records still available ? the only full album i have ever had of yours was shipwreck which i thought was awesome…i understand alot of what you write in the book about the ministry/revco crowd not being open-minded enough to give it a chance (ironically enough) but most of us have grown up from being 15 and eveything having to be 100 mph. now as an adult your music seems more…well, adult as opossed to the snickers i get at 27 when i put on ministry (though i still love them) last question will you tour again anytime soon ? we tried to book you here (tulsa,ok) a few yers back but the promoter bit off more then he could chew (we were still in high school) i heard you were pissed but it would be cool to get you to play here now that we kind-of know what we are doing
Whiplash Boychard and Phenobarb Bambalam are both available here. http://www.emusic.com/artist/Chris-Connelly-MP3-Download/10557752.html
If you get no other song, get “July”.

I believe you can get his material anyway. I got phenobarb off amazon, and the rest off itunes (all of which are DRM free, BUT whiplash).
I think you can easily find most of my back catalogue for well under a dollar!! just sitting around in warehouses up & down the land sulking!
no-seriously-I saw “phenobarb” once on amazon market place for 1 penny!!!

Yeah, on the marketplace you can find a lot for dirt cheap. And if I remember right, I may have bought En Esch’s “Cheesy” for about that much, mainly paying shipping charges. And that wouldn’t be the only neither.

Now i know! everyday you learn something new. [:)]
Btw Chris are you still open to doing/record any more heavy stufs (w/distorted guitars & vocals, shouts, rants & screams) , even tho nowadays yr stuf leans to a more adult-oriented music.
I’m just curious. dat’s all.
