My apologies...

I like the diversity. Don’t let anybody tell you to narrow your focus. Fuck that.

once you don’t sound like Geddy Lee (talk about ruining what could have been the best band ever) you’re good to go.

While I also agree, mick, we can’t be too harsh on good ol’ Geddy. After all…

And he’s pretty useful for his expertise in other fields…

Agreed. I’ve had more than a few people say ‘it’s too diverse, too weird, etc etc’. These are the sort of people who think I should join some shitty cover band or do ‘indie-electro’ bullshit (don’t know about yer neck of the woods, but kids putting on ray-bans, thrift store clothes and fashionably shitty hair while strumming guitar along to half-assed electronic beats and impersonating Ian Curtis is all the rage down here). I can’t be rooted having all this music in a bunch of seperate solo projects, so people having to hear black metal one minute then bubblegum pop the next will have to deal with it.

That being said, the actual record itself has 11 songs, and I’ve paid attention to having some continuity as opposed to just dumping one song after the other.

play to your advantages. I mean look at geddy lee, you might not like his voice but damn, they guys in a huge band and sell out arenas worldwide. sure there are 2other guys and it’s more of a crowd of musicians there than your pop chart retard, but that’s what worked for them. les claypool is another one with a distinct off kilter voice and style, i mean the list goes on and on. it’s the unique voices sometimes that really make the band/project.
I sawy kleep it up and you’ll find yourself soon enough.
