Well that answers that, unless Cleopatra is releasing something else maybe the Al solo album is still on. Personally I would rather see that at this point than another new Ministry album.
How boring. That’s Cleo’s idea of a “studio album”?

Just waiting for the The Remixes of Rape & Honey, The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Remix, Remix Pig, and Dark Remix Of The Spoon
Why doesn’t he go on the dole or something if he’s THAT cash strapped - instead embarrassing himself repeatedly.
He is now officially the Webster’s Dictionary definition of a sellout.
Does he go doorknocking in his neighbourhood asking people if they will remix his back catalogue for cash?
Cleopatra has always ground out sub-par remix albums. Their other stock-in-trade is tribute albums, and since Al just did Thunderstruck he’ll fit right in on that label.
All that said, the cover art kicks major ass.

I can’t help but notice that you’ve spelled mixxx with only one ‘x’.
…dude. Really? The bag’s empty. Give it up.

Oh who gives a shittt
All they’ll do is ruin it. Last album I actually liked to be reduced by uninspired remixes that all sound the same by one guy. Just stop.
Cleopatra has always ground out sub-par remix albums.
So has Ministry/Revco so they’re a perfect match.
This is truly the final nail in the coffin for Ministry. Releasing a remix album for something that was originally released 6 years ago?
Really!?
I think it is officially time for Al to start using smack again. He needs to go back to truly clouding his judgement. It has become apparent that when he uses his clear mind, his decision making is poor.
Obviously ‘It’s Always Christmas Time’ wasn’t the smash hit/career triumphant/million seller success we all thought it would be.
pffffffffft!!!
I’m hangin’ out now for the elevator muzak versions of all the albums that have been remixed. There’s sure to be a couple.
Also waiting for the inevitable “Well…I caved in last night and bought the new album and well…it’s not that bad” posts, which I am sure we will start seeing on this forum (from the usual suspects) around the end of August.
Al, if you are reading this, why don’t you release some of your old “shelf” material? I think a lot of fans would be more interested in that than the refried beans you are serving. Yea, I know, refried beans are big in El Paso.
Won’t happen. Because then Al would have to pay Paul royalties.
I like how the mentality of this forum is that it’d be better to do heroin than release a remix album
Vic…there’s a lot of “inside” posting. I believe he was referring to the sound Ministry had when AL was high and is art/music was his best. Seems to go for many bands. Another ex. could be Trent.
It just dawned on me that the release date is on my fucking bday! I’m deeply offended
Oh, I know. It’s just, and yeah, it’s prongs, I ought to expect this, but really? Getting pissed and bitter and shit over a remix album? It’s a fucking remix album, the most harmless release short of a greatest hits album. It’s probably going to net some decent remixers - like the RevCo ones - and at worst you can just ignore it.
And prior to the “bitching about bitching”, “why don’t you stop reading if you don’t like it”, well, not only is that the exact advice you guys ought to be taking, but I do enjoy prongs. You lot are pretty intelligent with the occasional exception of when black people are brought up. But the fucking bitterness gets overwhelming occasionally.
I think I am offended. I have supported Al Jourgensen’s carreer since 1990. I have purchased every release with Al’s name on it and purchased most items in multiple formats.
So excuse me if I am irritated that Al continues to drive away those who helped launch his career (Connelly, Barker, Rieflen, Sin, Stayte, etc) and expects me to keep buying his half assed musical efforts that lack the afforementioned.
You need to look no further than the C U Latour for an example.
And the heroin reference was intended to be taken with a dose of sarcasm.
