Behold…
Nice photoshop, bro.
That would be cool artwork if it wasn’t a joke.
Toot it should have been " Without Sympathy" that would have been more aggro… grrr.
I was actually looking for images of With Sympathy and that popped up.
Nice
What surprises me is that with Al beeing a money whore and all, I can’t believe he wouldn’t reissue WS.
He could have a picture of himself on the front being a puppet controlled by some hands above or something to show that he dislikes the album and all.
Are there any other bands or artists out there that despise one of their own albums as much as Al does WS? If so, I can’t think of any of them right now.
…I think the album “Gub” by Pigface is a complete abomination of a record…I am terminally mortified by my involvement ! fortunately, there are plenty of other red-faces out there
ha ha ha!
Yeah, I’ve always had a difficult time listening to Gub, though the tour you went on with Ogre and Co. was great, I think you came to Phoenix two or three times in a span of a year and a half. The Welcome To Mexico CD is a nice document (“Suck” live was great, though the audio quality of that disc isn’t great), and Fook is probably the best thing Pigface ever released.
1002
Gub might not be good, but it does have “Little Sisters” on it.
Of course “greatest thing Pigface ever released” is rather like saying it’s the “greatest joke Dane Cook ever told”.
Or the greatest joke Carlos Mencia has ever “written”.
The Pigface album with Michael Gira was their best. It’s companion remix album was good too.

Huh…what? Which album’s that? Granted, i’ve only really been able to sit through only the entire Fook album, as i’ve usually skipped through the rest. New High in Low would make sense.

Holy Shit! that was funny!! Never been a big Pigface fan but I do own Fook and Welcome To Mexico but they don’t get much air time… Have to say Fook is better than Mexico though.

I was so excited when I found an original pressing of GUB for like $4 about 10 years ago before I got into buying discs off teh interwebs.
Wow, I know this thing has TR and Barker etc… the original version of Suck this thing must be worth heaps…
Then I actually listened to it and went… well…hmm…it has the same people I like… but …erm… well this isn’t really that good. I’m going to put Broken back on now.
I like the interview where Jason Pettigrew asks Martin about Gub. He says something slightly questionable about parts of the album like that they were “umm… interesting” and Atkins totally jumps all over him. And the whole time I’m thinking that I barely got through half the thing without fast forwarding. Little Sisters is nice as is Weightless. Tailor Made is good but makes me kind of sad, as it would be so much better without all the crap beforehand. Most of that stuff was so much better live.
Gub, like most Pigface albums, have a few gems on each album. But, usually, those songs are a rare sight since a majority of the material on each album is a bit “mediocre”. I can probably think of two, maybe three good songs off each album.

Butthole Surfers despise Pioughd.
Killing Joke despise Outside The Gate.
Blur despise their first album.
Stone Roses are a little hokey about The Second Coming.
Pantera wouldn’t even talk about their early, hair metal albums in interviews.
David Bowie isn’t too fond of his 80’s output.
Kiss hate Music From The Elder.
I believe The Beatles never really liked Let It Be.
And…yes, Gub is truly an ‘abomination’ of an album.

Oh, I know Bowie absolutely despises the Never Let Me Down album of his. I hear his apologizes every time the name is ever brought up in conversation. But there’s many bands out there who have released something and later just consider it garbage or just whatever. I think Sascha even hates the symbols album.
