Pantera wouldn’t even talk about their early, hair metal albums in interviews.
.
Reallly? Hah, surely they would have had a giggle about it. Suppose the whole spandex look with “Diamond Darrel” might have tarnished the “Hardcore” Metal head image they were going for later on.
I thought they would have at least acknowledged Phils first album with them though, that was not as glam as the others.
Are you kidding me? Symbols might be my favorite KMFDM album. If not, it’s top 3 for sure. That album was dynamic in so many ways, and the tour with Rammstein that followed was mind blowing.
[reply]The Pigface album with Michael Gira was their best. It’s companion remix album was good too.
Huh…what? Which album’s that? Granted, i’ve only really been able to sit through only the entire Fook album, as i’ve usually skipped through the rest. New High in Low would make sense.[/reply]
Notes From Thee Underground.
He’s only on one track, IIRC.
[reply]I think Sascha even hates the symbols album.

It’s favorite of theirs. But I remember reading an interview, where he went int specifics that he didn’t like Stray Bullet, Mercy, and a couple others. Working with Esch and Schulz might not have helped either. They weren’t exactly friendly towards the end.
Yeah, I’ve always had a difficult time listening to Gub, though the tour you went on with Ogre and Co. was great, I think you came to Phoenix two or three times in a span of a year and a half. The Welcome To Mexico CD is a nice document (“Suck” live was great, though the audio quality of that disc isn’t great), and Fook is probably the best thing Pigface ever released.
1002
yes the infamous “trent raznor is gonna be coming” tour.
seriously they should have printed that on t-shirts. But martin wouldn’t poke fun at himself like that. would have made a killing though.
Everyone else fails, including you, Chris. Gub kicked ass in every direction.
Well I’m happy that with all the copies sold of Gub, at least one person got their money’s worth!

You’re damned right.
[cool]
Though the Washingmachine Mouth EP is still the best they’ve put out, Gub has always been one of my favorites. Noisy, loopy, drummy, wretched music to my ears.
How can you not love things like “Tapeworm” and “The Greenhouse”?
The story is that Money was created based on Sascha and En deciding to end their collaborating with a release titled ‘Apart’, which would be Sascha on one side, En on the other. Wax Trax rejected En’s portion and gave Sascha more money to complete it, hence why it became ‘Money’. I think the only En Esch contributions are on remixes of previously recorded material.
I would not be surprised at all if this was the case… I mean, it would = $$$ for Planet 13, in some form or another.
And I don’t know whether it’s looking photoshopped could discredit it’s authenticity… I mean, anyone recall the Rantology cover? Yeeeesh. And that was a Paul Elledge job, wtf??? That’s almost as baffling as someone else with talent, like Robert Mapplethorpe, getting a bullwhip and just shoving it up his…
