Just saw ticket prices… $69.69 or $110 for the NYC show… ugggg. I was sorta on the fence about this and now I think I fell off of that fence.
Yeah, i’m on the same boat. i was gonna try to catch atleast a few, but ticket prices are crazy. after tax, a single Chicago ticket comes out to 90 dollars. Thats fucking insane, considering i’d have to deal with whatever vip reached the rail before me…
I might sit this one out, or wait for them to come up to S.F…
maybe i’ll go to L.A, but i’d easily forget this and follow Manson’s 2012 tour instead [I’m still and forever a total Mansonite]
Mansonite-
I don’t like the luggage, but the luggage likes me.
Jesse and I were seriously considering going to the Chicago shows and hoping to meet up with some friends. But after you include fees for both of us to go to both nights it will be over $300! No fucking way. $40 a ticket is reasonable but this is just fucking greedy. My guess is this tour will not sell very well.
To answer carmangary:
I’ve been working since I was twelve. I didnt start traveling around until I turned twenty, so I had eight years saved up. I also at one point had three jobs. Two were for venues, one of which I spent a third of my life at. Thats eight years. I grew up around people that worked for bands/venues and fans that followed tours, so its something familiar to me.
My life goal was basically to just kind of tour around…
The folks never paid for any of the past three years of trips, but are quite happy for me.
I currently only work for the government. I quite the venues as they were getting in the way of my trips.
I dont even work part-time, just partial, so I can travel around a lot without worrying about scheduling time off.
They pay a nice hourly rate for someone in my field/level [library page].
I dont have kids, pets, a car, or debt.
I took three vacations in August. Two were last minute trips. During the last, I shared a beer with Manson. He literally told me, “have my beer”. There is no amount of money that I’d rather have than that.
I’m in numerous frequent flyer programs, and have incredible luck: I got a last minute RT flight for 44 dollars total [which at the time wouldve cost 358 dollars] thanks to the airline rep. Another one of my flights was canceled, and I was rewarded with a hundred dollar voucher…
Things have a way of working out for me.
Other fans that work for airlines have helped me out with buddy passes.
I might make it to some of the Ministry shows, but I hate committing to something so far ahead, unless its Manson.
$40 a ticket is reasonable
no… no it isnt.
i might pay 40 bucks to see a reunited celtic frost play a show with secrets of the moon, dark throne, and a mini-set by triptykon…
but to see ONE band play?
40 is never an acceptable amount of money.
I’m on the fence. Sure I can afford it but like earlier posts, I need to see the setlist before I buy a tix…bush yrs isn’t gonna cut it.
Has anyone seen a password or coupon code for unlocking the ‘special pricing’ (it lists this as an option on the order page)?
I am on the fence about this too because of the total cost with travel.
$171.00 for two tickets ($85.50 each) is steep when compared to:
$23.68 with fees to see Swans at The Social.
$72 with fees for two nights at Metro’s Wax Trax!.
I checked other Vic tickets and they sell for around $40 to $60 with all the fees.
I suspect at that price in this economy, they are not going to get many takers and end up selling the last of the tickets at 4 for $80 just to get rid of them.
Yeah I might be a) beating a dead horse or b) comparing apples to oranges - but I just scored two tickets to Mastodon in NYC for 70 bucks and that included a coupon for a free download of their entire new album when it is released in 2 weeks. I kinda thought that was a good value.

Pafuckingthetic. I would have probably gone in case of an acceptable set list. This kind of money I wouldn’t even pay if they played twitch/lorah/mind in their entirety.
Speaking of Mastodon, here’s that album:

Good God, every last one of you is FIRED!
“Oh, the last three tours were garbage, but I have high hopes this time around!”
I realize some of you are new, but no. Just…no. I couldn’t possibly be more disappointed in you people.
^
I’m sure everyone now feels really bad and will cry tears of semen
I want to go to one of these shows. Maybe Chicago, those tickets are cheaper, they’re hometown shows and it’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit but never made a reason to yet. I wish I knew the setlist. He pulled that comment from every album bullshit before the last tour and we all know how that turned out. Though I was pissed at the setlist, I did have a great time at the show and was really happy to see Ministry at all.
poof
alive from the bone yard.
these are hysterical reads. kudos must be sent to Evil Peligro for being the muse behind it.
